Just saw an old friend and he told me He was at Disney last Month on a Family reunion. He said 16 people in his group went to Pecos Bill in Mk and not one of them liked the food. Said the Burgers tasted just plain old bad and had a rubbery texture. Is this a common thing? I was planning on having lunch there at least 1 time on my upcoming trip becuase I remember liking the food last time.

The burgers at Pecos Bill's are not 5 guy's or Fudrucker's quality but they are still pretty darn good. Bottom line you can not please everyone and some people are not happy unless they are complaining about something.

I've always liked the burgers there. :slurp: I don't ever remember them having a rubbery texture. I'd say they're definitely better than McDonald's burgers. They're pretty much the same as every other burger at WDW though.

Like i said I remember eating there and thinking it was a good burger. (i also remember dropping the tray and sending food and drinks all over anyone within 10 feet of me. :( Not my greatest moment)

The pulled pork sandwich was awsome, I am very picky and it was the best. I got one at Flame tree in Ak and it was good as well. That's why I do not buy burgers from anywhere if they smell or taste the least bit doggy as I say it goes ion the trash. Has to be real meat and real grilled.

If you want a good burger, go to a place thats known to have good ones like Beaches and Cream or ESPN Club.
They cost a little more (or a LOT more in some cases) but I believe you get what you pay for.

I like Pecos Bill's burgers and get a few every trip. They are pretty typical of all the burgers sold at the counter service restauraunts. My favorite burger at WDW is at Sci-Fi Dine In Theater. They are really good and go well with their cherry coke.

I like Pecos Bills burgers but at the same time I do think there is sort of a rubbery texture to them. When I eat counter service at WDW I typically avoid burgers though, I'm already paying too much for fast food, so I prefer to get something other than a burger if that makes sense.

I love their chicken wraps and now they offer the same taco salads as El Pirata.

Exactly.

While we're on the subject of Disney fast food costing too much, has anyone been to McDonalds or BK recently? You're going to pay $6 or $7 for a burger, fries and coke. So you pay an extra $2 at Disney. No biggie.

To me the complaint is that they changed the buns on the burgers and the fries. Kind of nasty now.

Mmm, Fuddrucker's...

Speaking of Pecos Bill's though, I have always been happy with the burgers there.

I have two within 10 minutes of my house and another about 20-30 minutes away from me. It's very dangerous...:slurp:
I have none anywhere near me. There has been rumors of one coming to the Jacksonville Landing but so far nothing. The only one that I have been to in Florida was just north of Orlando just off of I4 but that one has been closed for years. I plan on making a visit to the Crossroads Fudrucker's on my next rip down. Until then I will continue to frequent 5 Guys.

I've never heard of 5 Guys. But I guess I will appreciate the fact that I am slightly more fortunate than others in that I have so many Fuddrucker's nearby...

I agree about the buns.. as soon as you bite into it the bun falls apart.

People either love em or hate em. They remind me of school cafeteria burgers and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. They're pretty good and like someone else said, once you hit the fixin's bar its even better. As far as burgers go, for some reason (and it may be the fixins bar) they're some of the better CS burgers we've had in the parks. Never had any complaints knock on wood. We hit Pecos at least once per trip because we've got a major addiction to Casey's too! :slurp:

I'd say it's a pretty standard fast food type burger, however the topping bar is great

If you like pulled pork sandwiches, they have a good one, so you could always go with that
