Payment Confirmation

Like if you pay by credit card? Your question is a little confusing. When you make reservations, you should get a reservation confirmation, regardless of your method of payment.

No I have a confirmation number, and my credit card has been charged. In the past I have received a letter confirming the booking and deposit. But this time I payed the full amount at time of booking ( the pound is good against the dollar) but I have not receiv4ed anything in writing from Disney and itll be 3 weeks on Thur. Mail is taking about 4 days from the US to here.

Well, my confirmation usually comes within about 3 days or so, so I am guessing yours should have already come by now. You should give them a call and ask for it to be sent again. It might have got lost in the mail or something.

(This was my 300th post!!!!!!!!!:D )

I have had the same problem in the past. WDW has a major problem sending mail outside the USA. I wouldnt worry about it. :)

You usually receive something in the mail about a week after you booked your trip. Walt Disney Travel Co. has been good in sending me written confirmation about my trip even when I made some changes.

From what I have found out lately, Disney has not been sending out the confirmations until payment is paid in full unless you specifically request one.

I have a question that relates to this. When I booked the Fairytale package I cancelled my old room only reservation. I got an reservation confirmation from the Disney travel company but nothing about how and when to make final payment. Will that come later?

Meega, nala kwishta!
We just booked last week. This is how it went (and this has been the same for us on other trips as well).

After we called and did our reservations, within a week you should recieve a yellow letter in the mail. That letter will have your confirmation with a complete list of everything you have.

It will give you the total cost, the deposit amount, and the remainder to pay with a date you must pay by.

On the back are instructions if you wish to send in a check (there should be a return envelope in the letter with it), or just call them back and bill it to a credit card.

You will not get any more letters from them. They will not "remind" you to pay again.

When I called back last year and put the remainder of the cost on the CC, we did not get another letter saying we paid in full. They only time you will get another letter is if you change the reservations that change the price of your package (like adding Silver or Gold) or adding/remove days of the resort.

Also, I was told that they no longer will be sending out PS/Tour/Special events confirmation letters. I don't know how true that is, but I did set up 3 tours, and did not receive any confirmation letters. Last year I did get letter within a week on the tours. So I'm believing that this new policy is now in effect.

But the old way still works, when in question, call them. :D

Hope that helps...

Im not overly worried as Disney say that my ressy is showing up as payed in full. It would just be nice to have it in writing. In the past Ive payed at check in but didnt want to loose this good exchange rate.
