Paying for room only reservation

Quick question. I know that when you book a one night room only reservation that the total amount is due immediately. I've already done this. We have thinking about upgrading to the Wilderness Lodge for this one night which will mean that we owe more money. I was planning on calling Disney and asking them to upgrade us to the WL and to apply the money we have already paid for our moderate resort to the new reservation. We will still owe more money after this and I wanted to know if we could pay for the difference with Disney gift cards and a credit card. I'm pretty sure the web page does not allow a split payment for this but I was wondering if they would allow this if I was to call. I would still pay the total amount due at once but with different forms of payment. Is that allowed?

I'm sure they would be able to do that. I know when I book a stay and do not pay it all in full at once. I have called the automated line and have been able to use gift cards and pay what I wanted. Then you can just make a payment using another method.
I 'm sure you situation is not too uncommon. Give Guest Relations a call!

You should not have any problems using Disney gift cards to pay off your room reservation.

Wonderful! We have $75 in gift certificates that I would like to use towards it. If we can't use them and pay the difference with a credit card my husband says no upgrade lol. He will just use the gift cards in the parks instead. I want to upgrade. Thanks everyone!

We just paid $2,300 of our bill with $50 gift cards through Disney's online tools. The we paid the rest on a credit card.

Our grocery store gives us 2x (sometimes 4x) the points for buying gift cards and then we get up to $2/gal of gas from these points. Nothing like saving close to $40 on a fill up!

I paid for our main reservation for the week at the Poly online with 1/2 credit card and 1/2 gift cards but because you have to pay it all at once I wasn't sure how it work.
