Paying for Online Reservations

Hello,

Forgive me if this has been asked already, but I'm looking for someone to share with me how the Disney.com online reservation system works and whether or not payments can be made over time vs in one lump payment at the end. I was able to find that a $200 deposit is required at the time of booking, and that full payment is due 45 days prior to arrival, but can payments be made over time as well? And if so, can they be made online? And can they be made with Disney gift cards? For example, it looks like my reservation is going to be around $2000. Instead of making a lump payment of $1800 at the end, it would be less of a shock to the system if I could make 9 monthly payments of $200. Also, I have a number of Disney gift cards that I would like to be able to use. Can I use multiple gift cards to pay for it? I was first thinking it might be nice to just combine all the gift cards into one, but from what I've been able to find, this is not a possibility.

Thanks for you any help you can provide!

Ken,

yes you can, if we couldn't we wouldn't go. too ahrd to save up that much. In todays economy. Just when you think you can do it something comes up. You do not even have to pay every month. Just so it is paid for by the due date of 45 days prior. I just got off the phone with a cm on my plan. I had to down grade it to just pay all the hotel and one day of park tickets for each of us. Our trip is going to run 4700.00 with no flights added in. We are self employed, we build and handpaint childrens furniture and this past year has been a tough one for us.I thought I could do it by Oct 21st for all but cannot. So, when 3 days prior to us going I will call and pay for the meals and then when we get there get the other 7 days of park tickets when we check in. You may find you need to do this and its fine. Just if you you see its going to be a no go about 3 weeks prior to due date call and change as we did. It's better than not going at all. I am not sure on the site. When you go on the site and get ready to pay, see if there is a spot for your cards. It may says somewhere in there in fine print. But I have paid on line for each payment we have made the first time last year and now this time. Its easy. even if it's only 50.00 at a time when you get it just type in or sign on and take you to your vacation and it will ask you everything. Really easy. Good luck you will love it.

You have to go to the official Disney World site.
Then Log In.
Then pull up My Disney Vacation.
Then Retrieve your reservation. You'll need the confirmation number.
Then click Make a Payment.
(Then hope the web site is working OK; it hasn't been lately.)
Under Make a Payment you can choose to pay in full or partial. Minimum is $20.
You can pay by credit card, Disney gift card, or rewards card.

BTW- Used to, you could add your Magical Express flight information on line also but that's gone now for some reason. We had to call to add it.

Disney's web site has unexpected operation a lot for a major company.
Good luck.

Tks.
:)
