*stupid rant begin*

Since he has become the CEO of Gap he has wanted to make the image we represent to be more classic/clean-cut/everybody look. At the beginning of the holiday season we've had to wear pants only, no tennis shoes(not even clean, white all leather shoes) and all shirts must have collars and tucked in if designed that way. I handled it well for a couple months but today I got word that the dress code is not changing so that means no flips-flops, shorts, or t-shirts this summer.

I know things could be worse but this just stinks to high heaven! One of the reasons I love working their is the relaxed dress code. I am so dreading the summer heat/humidity in jeans.

*stupid rant end*

Thanks for letting me gripe. :)

I dunno...I like dress code. Whether or not it's good for Gap (I'm not sure of the atmosphere) I'm not really to judge. Sorry to hear it's uncomfortable! :(

We do/did have a dress code before that. It was basically as long as you looked 'Gap,' as in wearing Gap merchandise or clothing without logos or identifable brands you were good to go. What erks me to no end is what is being banned is stuff we sell in the store! I understand the no athletic gear(windpants/pull overs) but how can they tell us no shorts, flip-flop, or ringer tees when that is a lot of our early Spring merchandise.

It's like, hello...McFly!
