I've been interested in the Disney patents too. Have been for a while

the links you posted didn't work for me but I found the patent by going to the patent homepage and searching by patent number even then I was only able to see a small portion of the patent page (the menu bars appear but only a small portion of the scanned drawing/text section generated by quicktime is visible, apparently I'm the only one having this problem???)

Have you bought/downloaded any of them? I've thought about it but haven't yet. Have you found any pre-1976 patents from Disney? (the pre '76 ones aren't searchable by assignee so you have to know the patent number). I've poked around by looking at the patents cited by post 1976 patents and I found the patent for the Mission to the moon/ mission to mars theatre from the 1950s (actually issued to Walt himself)

Want me to dig out my list of cool patent #s?

Neither can I. I tried looking for some a few weeks ago and had the same problem. :veryconfu

Click the help button to get links to TIFF programs that are free of charge. Also, you'll have to re-search by patent number to get the images--they've expired in the links provided.

I think the special effects elevator is for Disney Quest--it's far too new (1999) to be the Living Seas, but perfectly timed for DQ.
