Part time work @ Disney Store ?

I am very new to this site and I hope I have placed this thread in the correct area but if not I'm sure it will be moved. I was thinking of getting a part time job this fall ( I have a full time job ) and for Christmas. Would there be any advantages to get a job at my local Disney Store vs any other retail store? Discounts on tickets or resorts? If any of you have done this before please let me know how you like it or not.

If you are a part-time cast member at the Disney Store...you receive 2 complimentary passes to WDW during Christmas...you receive 20% off your merchandise at all Disney Stores and at most places in WDW...you get into the parks for free....and (most of the time) get your hotel room at 50% off! hope this helps =)

oh yeah..AND you get to work in the MAGIC of the DISNEY store!

(i am about to head there now!)

but it is hard work! for low pay!

I've worked at The Disney Store for 5 years now. It's a fun place to work and you get lots of perks. Granted the pay's not great!!

You get 2 complementary passes to WDW in July and December. You start w/ a 20% discount and once you hit 3 yrs you jump to a 35% discount. Your discount is good at WDW, Disney Catalog, and TDS online. You also get 50% off hotel, free admission at WDW , and you can purchase disc park passes for your friends and family. You also get more perks throughout the years... pins, additional discount coupons, plush, and other surprises. :sohappy:

cool!!! i started at the Disney Store not so long ago as a part time since i already have another job. everyone is nice, i have to agree the pay is not nice but it pays off with the stuff they give you for free. what else do we get?

well sometimes we get tee shirts to promote new movies or presales. (Unfortunately we didn't get a Lilo and Stitch shirt.) Also the company usually reimburses us for the price of a movie ticket when the new movies come out. And sometimes we have different contests and competitions to win different pins and other prizes... my store won watches once!! I'm sure there's more, but I can't think of anything else. Anyway, Enjoy the pixie dust!!!:lol:
