Part Time Questions

So I know Disney World is in the process of hiring part time and full time positions right now, and I was looking into applying for part time. I have a few questions though before I start applying.
Okay, I know they require at least 3 days of full availability.
1) Are they more likely to give you shifts on those days?
I'm a college student and live about 45 minutes (if there isn't traffic) away from Disney so other than the full 3 days I have available, I could only work nights the rest of the week.
2) How many hours does a part time cast member usually get during the summer?
3) After working during the summer would I be able to switch to being seasonal? Or can you only do that after a certain amount of time? I'm also apart of a sports team at my school so when fall semester starts I definitely would not have the time to be working a part time job that's all the way in Orlando.
Also, I am aware of the college program but since it's kinda like taking a semester off I plan on waiting about a year or two to do that!

1) It's best to only let yourself be available the 3 days you have full availability, then pick up other shifts as you can when other CMs are giving them away or on EHH. That way you can dictate your hours on those other days.
2) Depends on your role and location. Some locations do not increase labor during peak seasons, so summer season doesn't mean anymore hours than the rest of the year. However, MOST places do increase hours.
3) You can request to drop your status at any point, but it has to be approved by Management. We had a bunch of people try to drop their status to seasonal in my department, but Managers didn't want more seasonal Cast so they were all denied. Some ended up just terming and others are still there sticking it out. It used to be a lot easier to be seasonal, but since the new rules were implemented, it takes a little more red tape.
