PART TIME HOURS CAP

Hi, I had another question.

I am part time at Disney currently, hopefully will transfer to full time soon. However, I do know that after a certain amount of hours you can be capped if you are part time. Does anyone know the exact amount of hours you have to get in a certain time period to get your hours capped? I believe its anything over 24 hours a week too that goes towards it? Not too sure. Hopefully someone knows.

Thanks

hi, Yeah I know that its more than 24 hours a week, but in what amount of time is the maximum total number of hours (exceeding 24) I can do before being capped?

The cap occurs if you work over 24 hours for more than 26 weeks (half the year.) You can check your hours worked per week for any specified time period through the hub.

Does anyone know if the mandatory 30 min lunch breaks that are scheduled in count toward the 24 hrs/week?

I mean, it seems like it shouldn't because you aren't getting paid for the time, but my timesheet is showing up with that time included.

In other words, they have scheduled me for three 8 1/2 hour shifts this week... which I am technically only getting paid to be there for 24... but I am technically there for 25 1/2 hours... so will this count as one of my 26 weeks/year that I am working over 24 hrs or not?

Thanks!

It's based on the number of hours you're paid for.

You can't be over 24.9 hours a week for more than 26 weeks within any 52 week period. (It's a rolling calendar year.)

My managers told me that if I'm gonna be working for 25 hours & 1 minute, I may as well pick up shifts if I can since that week will count the same towards being capped a as if I had worked 50 hours.
