Not the show (though I'm sure it will come up eventually:p) but one thing that's often overlooked is the recreation aspect of Disney Resorts - in particular Walt Disney World, but in all parks around the globe.

This is really a wide range of activities and even to extent attractions on a Disney trip. Anything from sport recreation, to hiking trails, or outdoor events, this can be the thread where we dream up concepts with the "Parks and Recreation" theme. :)

So the one thing that I've always pondered (and maybe someone has an answer to it) but there's a walking path from the Magic Kingdom to the Contemporary that allows easy access to the resort for people so they don't have to cram onto a crowded monorail at closing time.

There's also a path from the Magic Kingdom to the Grand Floridian...however it just kinda ends before it reaches the resort:bored:

Especially being the last stop on the monorail loop, and the small boat transportation that can be crowded at peak hours, it would be nice for the Grand Floridian, flagship resort of WDW, to be able to give its guests the option to walk back to the resort if they want from the MK.

Granted it's a little further than the Contemportary, and you'd have to build a bridge to cross the water, I've always wondered why the path just abruptly ends, and why even have a path that leads nowhere in the first place? So, it would be neat if the pathway connected to the GF.

Then theoretically, you'd be able to walk around the Seven Seas Lagoon from the Contemporary to the GF to the Poly to the TTC. Nice long walk/run in the mornings:cool:

I feel like I remember reading somewhere that they were supposed to have it go all the way around but for one reaso or another just kinda stoppe construction and never completed it. Something budget related I'd imagine.

Though it is a really neat path! It would be a bit tricky to go all the way around though with parking and roads and stuff. Because the path from BLT/Contemporary starts over near the BLT parking, which would make it a weird loop.

It would be weird

And granted the Electrical Water Pageant starts from the GF side so they'd have to build a either a really tall staircase walking bridge or a mechanical lift bridge...which for a simple walking path that not many will use...is probably unlikely:p

Hey, I don't want this thread to be buried too deep! It reminds me of my Laser Tag idea for a DHS attraction, but I don't know if it technically counts as "recreation."

What about a massive Lazy river, and I mean MASSIVE? Like, one that could connect between multiple resorts? And change theme as you go along? It sounds crazy, but I like crazy ;)

Haha wow that would be different

This could work in the Epcot Resort area ...idk how but it's not so spread out like the MK resort area...but spread out enough where you can have a really cool lazy river going from boardwalk to Beach club around Cresent lake:D
