Parking w/ Handicap tag

Good Morning! I had a quick question and I'm hoping someone can help me. I have a removable handicap placard for my car (the kind that hangs on the rearview mirror) - it is from NJ and it states this on the placard.

We are flying to Orlando and renting a car. Is my NJ handicap tag allowed in a car with FL tags?

Any help is much appreciated - thanks in advance.

By all means, bring the placard with you. First of all, just because you are renting a car in Florida, it doesn't mean it will have Florida tags. There are many rentals with out of state tags. Before I moved to Florida I always used to rent a car when going to Disney. I've had California, Texas, and a few others I can't remember. Being a CM in the Epcot Parking Lot and Auto Plaza, I can tell you it will be to your advantage to bring the placard. Without it you cannot park in the handicap lot, or the blue lot as we call it. You would have to ask for "Medical Assist" parking, where you will be parked in the row directly behind the blue lot. Of course that row does not have the extra wide spaces to facilitate loading and unloading of wheel chairs or electric vehicles. Bring the placard, you will be glad you did.

Thank you so much! If you're still working Epcot (or anywhere in the World for that matter) in October, please let me know and we will look for you. I would enjoy it so much to be able to meet the people I "talk to" in the forums.

Thanks again and have a great day!

Just so you know, your Handicap Parking tag is recognized universally in all North American jurisdictions. So long as the person to whom it was issued is in the vehicle as a passenger or driver it is valid.
