parking question

Not sure if this is the right forum for this and it may be a stupid question. My cousin is currently on her honeymoon however she is staying offsite. She was wondering if they are able to eat breakfast at the foodcourt at pop century then take the bus from there to the parks. Yes she is looking for free parking but intends to actually eat at the hotel. Is this possible for them to do? Or do they just have to suck it up and pay to park at the parks? My cousin has never stayed offsite before and neither have I so I don't know the answer. I personally don't like when people try to get free parking for the parks by parking at the hotels but again she is planning on using amenities there.

Because Pop Century doesn't have a dining location that takes reservations, they won't be able to get through the gate at the front.

Actually you can visit Pop - they will just ask to look at your license - but the intention of that is to allow you to visit the resort - not park there for the day. I've had friends who live local come to visit me at the resort (or pick me up to go out for dinner) and they never had an issue getting in to the lots.

While I don't know how often they do it, they could check cars in the lots for the parking passes that are given to resort guests and tow any unauthorized cars that were there too long.

Yes you can. Anyone can visit the resort. Just have to show your license at the gate. People go to eat QS and look around all the time at all Disney Resorts. :)

Can they do that and get away with it? Probably, but here is the catch. By the end of the day they are going to spend about 2 hours of their vacation time driving to Pop and then taking a bus that moves at a snails pace to and from the parks all the while hoping they don't encounter a security guard on a power trip that has their car towed for not having a parking pass.

Personally, I would just spend the $17 vs dealing with all of that.

Yes I agree! We always drive and never rely on the slow busses unless absolutely necessary! They can visit like I mentioned but I would definitely not leave their car there! :)
