wow....

that is truly insane....as if the price of admission isnt enough. I can remember years ago when it was sooo much cheaper.

Aside from being annual pass holders or staying at a resort...is there any other way to circumvent that??

I found $7 insulting, and $8 is an outrage. I've refused to pay for parking since it was $7, and absolutely will never give them another penny of my money now to put my car somewhere. Even if it's more convienant to be able to drive between the parks than take the bus, I'll live because I'll still have $8 in my pocket at the end of the day. It's good to have a "system."

I'll just continue doing what I always do... pay $6 for valet at a resort. Is it cheating? It's debatable... I am in a place that i have no business being in... but Disney is getting $6 from me either way, and I'd rather give the $1 tip directly to the valet than to Disney any day of the week.

Hey look at it this way. I understand that it sounds costly, but Disney is cheap when it comes to parking. Consider this, it costs you $8.00 to park your car, where it is safe from theft at least. While if your a sports fan, as many of you surely are, you can already know where I am going with this, they charge $11.00 or more just to park for sports and that doesn't even mean that your going to have a good time. I myself don't really have a problem with the price going up. I would rather pay an extra $1.00 for a fun filled day at Disney, than I would to go see any of my favorite sports teams, that may or may not win.

Don't forget, other theme parks in this area utilize the closest spots as preferreed parking and charge considerably more for those spaces.

Other amusement parks outside of Florida are already charging 9 bucks.

Don't worry, Disney plans to add on a security fee to enter the park ($1) to pay for their new metal detectors, plus you now have to pay to ride the monorail. The Ferry is also a dollar. FastPasses are sold at the following rates:

Price: When your time is:
$1 8 Hr from now
$2 5 Hr from now
$3 3 Hr from now
$4 1 Hr from now
$5 now

Also, each ride is charging a dime. You just insert it into the slot to open the gate as your board. :)

You are no longer allowed to bring any items on any rides as well. All items must be stored in a locker at a modest price of $1 per half hour.

Park Maps are now sold at 50 cents each.

Your cell phones will no longer work in the parks due to special devices that block your phones. You may use the pay phones in the park. Local Call is $2, Long Distance is $7 for the first three minutes. However, all areas in the park also accept the Disney Visa card.

Okay, so, now you all realize how bad it could be...
So why are we mad that parking went up a dollar? LOL

Because it's Disney I guess...

Well if they're charging an extra dollar, I hope that they post more security in the lots because a couple years ago I had my car vandalized. The antenna was stolen, ripped off. So maybe the price increase will make the parking lots a little safer.

It's kinda funny, people in Ky must be cheep because I now work at Six Flags KY Kingdom and people complain about a $4 parking charge.

But I always stay on property so the disney increase won't really hurt me. Like it was mentioned earlier, that makes another perk to staying on property. I miss my college program and all the cast benefits like free parking!:)
