Parking at the resorts

So I generally stay in the bubble on my WDW trips and stay away from renting cars. However, on my upcoming trip I am going to rent a car in the middle of the trip to go to the beach. I was wondering how parking at the resort will work in that case. If I just show up to the resort one night with a rental car will that be a problem at all, or do I just show the parking attendant at the booth my room key and park. How does it work?

When you check in to the hotel, tell them you have a car. They'll give you a parking pass.

Also that parking pass will allow you to park at any park for free as well!! We prefer using our own car it is quicker, and alot less hassle than the busses.

You don't have to do anything. You can get through the gate using your KTTW card or you can show it to the parking attendant.

You could go get a parking pass, if you want to, but you don't actually need it.
