Park tickets question

Hi, long-time lurker and not-very-frequent poster here :) , but I can't seem to find the answer to my queries anywhere and thought you guys might have some info. (-also, this may not be the right place for this thread so mods feel free to move)

Basically me and my family (4 adults) are looking to go to WDW from 7th-14th July and there seems to be a lot of confusion on different websites about ticket prices. We're booking flights/hotel with.. a very well known travel company (not sure if we can name names!) and they offer packages with their 7-day base tickets with waterparks and hopper.

In the travel company's brochure, their price is £245 ($389) and they proclaim that it's 'cheaper than buying from the gate!' or some such line. Just been having a look online and various slightly suspicious looking websites are offering the same tickets for cheaper, but what was interesting was that on the official WDW site they're there for £232 ($369). (-Interestingly when I changed the page to US rather than UK, it showed a price of $355, £223; why the difference?)

(Basically:
Tour company: £245/ $389
Disney UK site: £232/ $369
Disney US site: £223/ $355
Slightly scary looking website: £215/ $342)

We had this same problem with the travel company (who are also well known for being expensive for its kind) the last time we went in '09, their justification for higher ticket prices was 'well, we've got to make money somehow' or something along those lines. Needless to say we're hesitant about buying from them again unless they can prove that the tickets are actually good value.

So basically the questions are, if we buy tickets from the Disney website/from the gates, would we still be registered to take advantage of other stuff like EMH because we would still be on Disney property? - would they have to link our tickets to our room keys somehow or could they be kept separate? Or could we simply have room keys for the room and separate tickets to actually go through the gates with.

Also, I was wondering if anyone has the exact price of what tickets are on the gate, whether they're the same as the online prices? If that's the case, then obviously the price given to us by the travel company is higher than it should be simply to allow them to make a profit. On a few websites I've also seen them say that the 7-day passes aren't actually sold on the gate, is that correct?

Sorry this is so long and ramble-y, my brain is scrambled and we've only just started planning!
Any info much appreciated.

EMH has nothing to do with what tickets you have or where you purchased them from - EMH is a benefit of staying in a Disney resort.

Does the tour company's price include tax while Disney's doesn't? If not and they're really more expensive, I'd definitely get the tickets somewhere else. You can have the front desk of the hotel add your tickets to your room key if you want, or you can just keep them separate.
At EMHs, they'll just want to see your room key to make sure you're staying on property, they don't care where you got your tickets.
And you can definitely buy 7 day tickets at the gate.

Didn't follow the link DisneyJoe provided, but be aware that the UK-only tickets cannot be purchased at the gate or the hotels. They must be pre-arranged.

The Ticket page here at WDWMagic lists ticket prices, but it doesn't include the tax. AllEars' ticket page includes taxes in their numbers:
http://allears.net/pl/ticketchart.htm

If you wait until you get to Florida, you can purchase tickets right from the lobby concierge desk at the hotel and they'll put the tickets on your room keys. If you pre-purchase your tickets, the lobby concierge can encode them onto your room keys.
