Park re-entry question

Hopefully this a simple question. With the new ticket plan, if you opt to just purchase a non park hopper ticket, can you leave the park, get your hand stamped, and return to that same park later in the evening?

The only time re-entry is a problem is on "sold out" days like Christmas Day or New Year's Eve. They tell you right up front that if you leave during the day, there's no guarentee you'll be able to get back in.

The rest of the time though, it's no problem. Many people take some time off in the afternoons to go back to the hotel for a nap or dip in the pool.
