Good Morning Everyone..Just a wee laugh here..Now I know there's a lot of people on here that don't like Mickeys Sorcerers hat at HS.:( ( I'am in the minority ):) I'am sure 100% love Cinderella's Castle at MK,and Spaceship Earth at Epcot..But what about AK..I'am talking about The Tree of Life..Yes I do like it,in fact I'll go to say its an amazing feat to have all those animals engraved onto it,but it's not until your well into AK that you see it..I think AK should have a 60 foot King Kong statue or maybe even Yeti as you enter the park..Just think of those little ones eyes light up when they see that towering over them.:arghh:Maybe even fling a bit of animatronic's into it,and make it growl.:eek:.Anyway,that's my idea..Which park icon would you like to renew ( I know where this is going ) and what would you replace it with.?..:angelic:. I still think Kong or Yeti would be cool..:cool:

Spaceship Earth. I love it but errr, I want to get the worlds largest golf club and hit it into the Alantic Ocean sometimes....It is undeniably cool but I feel as if it represents nothing. When you walk in you don't think, "that must be Spaceship Earth," you think "GOLFBALL!" Before I knew it was called EPCOT, I called it Golfball land...:joyfull: We still joke about that to this day... Either way at least the castle represents the princesses and hope/dreams. The hat represents Disney Magic and Animations... And how to block another icon... Lastly The Tree of Life represents life, duh. I guess SSE could be represent the future of course but, I just don't get that vibe.....:confused::happy: I think they could keep the structure but they need to add something more. Stuff like a constant projection of earth LIVE (if that is even possible) from outer space. Or add Mickey Ears ontop.:p Maybe they could put King Kong (which is Uni as said above) on that to. How about we just put King Kong on all the icons.:D

How does the hat "block" another icon ???

It's not that I don't like the hat. It's just not in a good spot. Maybe if/when they do they major work that's rumored they can move it so the are it's in now doesn't feel sooooooooo crowded. ps leave the Tree exactly where it is! I like the layout of AK.

I wouldn't move the tree..:eek: Heavens forbid..But I like the idea of a 60 foot yeti..As a matter of interest..Where would you put the hat.? Keep it clean.:rolleyes:

Assorted thoughts:

The Earffel Tower is a great icon. It represents the Disney Studio.

The hat is a joke, an oversized anniversary prop without the budget to remove it. It ruins the central vista of an entire park.

Giant oversized monsters belong in Universal parks. Tacky.

SSE is majestic! Maybe the old plexiglass statue with the EPCOT icon could give it more identity.

The Tree of life is supossed to be hidden from view until the reveal at the bridge. The Oasis functions just like MS station - to hide what lies behind until you are fully immersed in it. I think DAK does this beautifully.
