Park-hopping Question

I am staying at the Grand Californian Hotel in about 2 weeks. In checking the posted schedule, I noticed a 2 hour difference between the opening of Disneyland and DCA. I assume that going to Disneyland for a couple of hours before DCA opens is feasible and probably a pretty good idea to knock out a few big things before the crowds get too big.

After leaving Disneyland, I presume that it makes more sense to enter DCA through the main entrance rather than the special Grand Californian entrance.

Any thoughts?

Yup, it's not like WDW, you just walk straight from DL to DCA...they are exactly across from each other.

The two parks are separated by The Esplanade. It literally takes a minute to walk across. It would not pay to walk back to GC and use the special entrance. Being able to hop easilty between the 2 parks is a nice thing especially for grabbing fast passes or eating.
