Park hopper Vs. Base Ticket?

Quick question? Is the extra money spent on the park hopper worth it for a family of three. We purchased it at out last trip to Dl, and never went back and forth, but there was only 2 parks there, not 4. My main concern is since I have 2 young boys, we like to leave for rest and naps, and come back. Can you do that without a park hopper? Thanks in advance for any responses.

Yes, you can reenter the same park on the same day without the hopper option. We always get the hopper because we tend to jump over to Epcot for the evening since we go during off peak times and the parks close early. Also, if you plan on taking advantage of evening EMH, then you'll have to have the hopper if you visit another park during the day.

Some find that they can do without the hopper option and save some money, but we like the choice of going to any park anytime during out visits.

Like stated before if you are content with visiting only 1 park per day then save the money. My family has a tendency to park hop quite a bit and depending on the time of year you go park hopping can be quite helpful in catching all the special events.(ie Christmas)

I love the hopper option. Last time we went on a budget and went to SWW. I regret not having the hopper option because we had stuff we wanted to buy and do but we were only able to do 1 park per day due to not being able to hop. SWW with a 10 yr. old is more than one day to doo/see EVERYTHING. I'll get the hopper from now on or I won't go.

We don't do a lot of park hopping, but I like having the option if I want to. On our trip last December, we actually went from MGM to Epcot to see Illuminations to MK to see Wishes. It's also nice to know that if you go to a park that is just packed, (like MK) that you can go over to Epcot instead.

I am a big fan of the park hopper. Even if your going to leave and come back, you could go to a different park. This just works well for us. We always make up a schedule of what we want to do. We have been so many times and seen everything, we know what we can afford to skip and what we must do! Then, the last day of our ticket is always spent revisiting everyones favorite attractions...no matter what park. This might seem like a waste of time to some people, hopping around so much, but we love doing it and it's our tradition. All week long we plan and plot what we're coming back for that day. Then, after we've done all the favorites, we just do whatever we want for the rest of the day! All in all...I would go for a park hopper.

I agree with everyone else, I like the option of park hopping, it is helpful to take advantage of EMHs or the shows at the end of the night, I have been to WDW several times and just learned you can take a little boat from Epcot (between UK and France) over to Mgm :hammer: (it makes a couple hotel stops....but it was faster I think than a bus since we were already there instead of walking to the front)
Have a great trip.

Another vote for Park Hopper!

While my kids are young, we still took advatage of it the last trip. AK closes early, around 5 pm usually, so we hopped over to MGm afterwards to go on a few rides, have a quick snack, and see Fantasmic. I just purchased our tickets for our next trip and had the PH option added. It's nice to have the option, and since we got 10 day tickets, it was a small amount per day. Plus, if your hotel is really close to a Park, you can go there for dinner/show after a rest.

Have a Magical Time!
