I just recently purchased 2 7-day park hopper plus passes with 4 options. Do you think its wise to purchase tickets on EBAY??? I got the ticktes for $550, and if I had purchased them thru disney, I would have spent $667...

Going to Disney World April 6th!!!!
Dinsney Worl here we come!!!!

I may be stupid, but is there ANY way to have the tickets checked to make sure they are valid when you get them. Code numbers that can be checked by calling somewhere?

I would hate to buy them, have them be invalid and not be able to get my money back.

Man that would be unreal, that has got me worried. The women that i bought them frm told me that she was a travel agent and she and her company bought them at a discount rate. I guess i believe her, but i dont wanna get down there and see that i have only 2 days on a 7 day park hopper pass......

Disney world here i come....
30 days and counting.....:brick: :hammer:

I had some unused ticket media stuffed in my wallet. I had forgotten how many days were left. (if any) The only way to find out if they were still good was to go to the Ticket counter at the resort.

All this technology is supposed to make things easier right?

I guess I would only buy from a private party if there was a card number on the back of the ticket and I place I could call to see how much time remained (as you can with many stores gift cards). If you bought a 7-day hopper, got down to Disney and found out it was expired a while after paying for it.. what recourse would you have.

I would want to be able to confirm the ticket as soon as I received it.

There are ways of getting them discounted. Especially a travel agent. I am a travel agent and every year Disney gives up the oppurtunity to buy one ticket at half price or get a one day pass for free.

I wouldn't go through Ebay, but this case sounds legitamate. Like I said before if she is a travel agent then she got the ticket for 1/2 price. Then she sold it for more than she paid. She probably has no use for it, so she sold it.

bearboysnc is correct. The only way to see how many days remain on a mulit-day pass is to take it to Guest Relations at WDW. They don't want their passes resold, hence the Florida law making it illegal.
There really is no good way to save money on WDW passes. The Disney Club discount is OK. If you're buying several multi-day passes the discount adds up. I get a 10% DVC discount but only on Length of Stay or Unlimited Magic Passes or Ultimate Park Hopper passes (or whatever they're calling them this year...)

i SELL QIUTE A BIT ON EBAY AND IF YOUR NOT SASTIFIED WITH YOUR PURCHASE THERE ARE WAYS OF GETTING YOUR MONEY REFUNDED BY CONTACTING EBAYS SAFE HARBOR AND IF THAT DOESN'T WORK YOU CAN ALWAYS CONTACT THE D.A. IN THE TOWN WHERE THE SELLER LIVES AND NAIL THEM FOR FRAUD .iF THEY ARE NO GOOD YOU CAN RECOVER YOUR MONEY. MAKE SURE YOU SAVE EVERYTHING CONNECTED WITH THE PURCHASE AND PRINT OUT THE AUCTION. IF THEY HAVE A LOT OF FEEDBACK THEY WON'T RISK A NEGATIVE ONE
