Park hopper - same park twice in one day?

Years ago we went back to Epcot at night to see Illuminations. We were allowed in but the CM told us Park Hopper tickets meant you could visit different parks the same day, but not the same park twice. Does anyone know if this is (still) true? We're making our plans and this came up. I'm sorry if this has

Thank you! It made no sense to me that I couldn't return to the same park when i had purchased the park hopper. Maybe that CM was confused. Appreciate the response.

It never crossed my mind you couldn't! I'm determined to go back to AK at night and I would be very disappointed to get there and am told Sorry, you visited this park already today. It stuck with me that we almost were denied entry at Epcot all those years ago. Like ... why would they care which park I 'hopped' back to?
