Park bus scheduling resources

In the past few days of web surfing and book browsing, I *think* I saw some kind of guide that showed how long it takes a bus to get from point A to point B. Anybody seen anything along those lines?

I'm trying VERY hard not to become the trip planning Nazi, but even if I had a rough idea ... If I know EMH at MK start at 8, then I need to know roughly how long it's going to take to get from my resort to MK and get in line before the gates open ... yadda, yadda.

Or maybe it's just not that big a deal and I just relax and plan for half an hour to get from point to point or something like that?

You are right it is in the unofficial guide. If you want me to look the times up from your hotel I would e more then happy to? Just let me know where you are staying:animwink:

Part of me is starting to get stressed like that but i decided once I get my dining booked I am going to just relax and let the trip take us where it may.:ROFLOL: i hope any way! I am a very type A person:brick:

OK, thanks for the info -- I think it must have been the Unofficial I was thinking about since the page at ourlaughingplace looks nothing like I remember (although it does look very helpful).

I thumbed through a bunch of books at Barnes and Noble, then decided to go to the library and check out what I could. I have a request in for Unofficial -- hopefully it will be returned and handed over to me soon!

Minnietoo -- We just booked our very first trip and we're trying to get our ADRs picked and choices to the travel agent ASAP. Like I say, I'm trying hard to not to get out the spreadsheet and plan the heck out of this thing -- like you, can be very Type A and want to be prepared for every eventuality!

Thanks, everybody!

Regardless of what the books say, we always plan extra time to get from point A to point B. There is always "wait" time to take into account, there are crowds of people to contend with and also bag checks at the parks. All I'm saying is don't cut your schedule too close because you could easily miss your ADR time because of any of these. One year we were heading to Typhoon Lagoon from the Poly. It took an hour on the bus as there was an accident on one of the roads and traffic was completely stopped for the emergency equipment to handle the accident.

Yes you always need extra time to get to your destination. I have seen buses change destinations before they come to pick you up and then you end up waiting another 15 minutes.

There is a website: http://www.ourlaughingplace.com/asp/twiz.aspx Near the bottom you can plug in where you are coming from and where you are heading and it will give you all the transportation options (bus, monorail, boat or combination) and the various times each method will take.

While this looks like a neat tool the times are way off and the informations is outdated, some of the routes it plotes do not exist. It would be interesting to make something like this and update the information and times.
