Parasailing

there could be they are on disney property. I have seen one in the river around Tom Sawyers island that connects to the seven seas lagoon that connects to bay lake. however you are never in the water and I wouldn't worry about it.

YES YES YES to parasailing!

Parasailing was a great time! My sister and I went back in June of 2000. We went tandem b/c it was much cheaper, and I can honestly say that the experience is not lessened b/c of another person. It's a dry release and landing, so do not worry about the alligators b/c you will enver touch the water. Sammy Duvall people were very friendly and knew what they were doing--I felt very safe.

The initial take off form boat was amazing. The the rope gets longer and longer until you are hundreds of feet in the air. Have someone in the boat take a picture of you when the Contemp is in the back so you cna see jsut how high up you are--thats one of my favorite WDW pictures. It was a surprisingly smooth ride, I thought it would be bumpy. It's very peaceful and serene. The higher up you are, the slower it feels you move. When the 12 or so minutes are up, they reel you in like you are a large fish, and the lower you get the faster the sensation of speed is. It was a great time. We shared the exursion with one other family (who coincidentally had a much shorter time than us, my dad said almost 3 minutes shorter!!)

It was a great time. But I never was like "I HAVE to do it again." I was glad I did it, yes, but I heard in other locales they "dunk" you and its more of a ride persay, than an observatory. But it was great.

You can see the entire property, all the way to the All Stars.

I think I may sign up for it again. It really was great!!!!!

Do they allow you to take up a camera with you? (not like a good one or anything, but one of those disposable waterproof ones.)
Think of the photo ops!

Also, approx. how much is it?

Thanks

You can bring any type camera at all, even video. Just attach a string or something around your arm and hooked to it, just in case. Again, remember you wont get wet, and its so gentle that you wont drop it.

Unfortunately, I had a camera but was paralyzed by fear sorta, haha, so I never took pics. I wish I did. I was afraid, as I said, that it would be more of like a ride with sudden drops and water portions. I was wrong, so bring the camera but make sure you egt one of you inn the air with Contemp or Castle in background.

Oh yeah, the price was maybe 60/person, or go tandem and I think its 45. I could be totally wrong, but I think I may be close. Just call, and reserve a flight in advance.
