Paradise Pier or Disneyland Hotel in August?

Which hotel will be less busy the 3rd week in August? I am torn still between these two hotels for our trip. I have read good and bad about both. We would stay concierge at Paradise Pier and Resort/Pool view at Disneyland Hotel. Help!!

I would highly recommend staying at the Disneyland Hotel over PP. You're already going to be there during peak time, and I have heard not so good things about elevator wait times at PP. DLH is a much bigger area with a little more to do at the actual hotel. Besides...who could pass up an opportunity to enjoy a drink at Trader Sams while the kids are at the pool??

I have stayed at both. I did like Paradise Pier, but I am definitely partial to Disneyland Hotel. It just feels more like I'm at Disneyland there. Love the pool and the Hawaiian Burgers at Tangaroa Terrace. Enjoy your trip!

Go for Disneyland Hotel, it's just a lot better.

I like the Paradise Pier Hotel, but I've only stayed there when going to the D23 Expo as it is closest to the Convention Center. Disney has refreshed the Pool area somewhat, so that does look nicer than before.

I've stayed at all the disney hotels and although PP has very nice rooms the elevator situation stinks! They are small and fit about 6-8 people. 3 if someone has a stroller. You literally have to go up to come down. And at the end of the night the lobby is jammed with strollers and people trying to cram in. Other than that its a great hotel.

Depends on if you want the food room and reservation assistance Concierge offers (Fantasmic dining is booked out? Not for Concierge) or want the more convenient location of DLH. Honestly, all 3 are about the same, but PPH tends to sell out first

Paradise Pier is the absolute worst Disney property that we've ever stayed at. 150% not worth it.
