Paradise Disney Plans

OK, so the park wont come for over a year. But I will make drawings to help out. And if 1 square is equal to 10x 10 feet and maximum map size is 250 x 250 squares, there shouldn't be a problem. I know I made another topic but this one is more detailed and such and has further plans.

Tommorowland:
-Themed to the Science Fiction of today. Follows a very futuristic theme.
-Centered around the main Commercial District of a futuristic city. Everything is planned to fit together.
-The Building on the right for entering the area will be the Tommorowland Convention Center. Two attractions are to take place here.
. . 1.Time Keeper: Comepletly redone to fit the theme of the land. It will take place in a Circlevision theatre but with one unbroken screen instead of 9 screens.
. . 2.Alien Encounter: Also redone. A more serious tone will be used. It will feature elements from Stitch's Great Escape as well as be a minute or two longer than the old Alien Encounter.
-The Left Building currently has no planned ride but has room for a theatre or dark ride. The rest will be a fast-food place and several shops.
-East of the right building will be a military recruiting themed building.
. . 1. This place will have a new ride, basically a clone of Disneyland's (not WDWs) Astroblasters but with a more serious non-buzz tone). It will still be kid friendly but just not based off a franchise.
-There will be a rocket Tower plaza just like at WDW's. It will feature the same things that WDW has including the peoplemover.
-Space Mountain
. . 1. Themed to a SpacePort. When guests enter the building, they find themselves in a SpaceStation somewhere in space. The line will be very highly detailed (I am planning on actually detailing it in the RCT3 version), and it will probably be longer than Dueling Dragon's line. The ride will feature a Paris/Hulk like launch but the launch tunnel will be hidden.
-Autopia X will reside in Tommorowland also.
-I am also thinking about adding a re-themed Mission Space and a stage or two and some other stuff. There is a lot of room remaining due to Space Mountain's location.

Anyway, I expect my drawing to be up and don't expect anything actually done with RCT3 for at least 1 year.

Update on design:
I will probaby upload the drawing soon but anyway.

I made the ride building for the alien shooting ride bigger. It now has a good size. East of that now stands the entrance to the land between Tommorowland and Mainstreet, I was thinking Toontown but it might be better to keep kids in one part of the park so that strollers become less of a problem.

I also moved a planned outdoor stage to be north of Rocket Tower Plaza. It will be pretty large. A building connected to the stage will most likely serve this purpose:

Viewliner- A transportation ride through northern tommorowland. Many large gentle curves and such over Autopia X. The most likely ride will be a Rocket Coaster but if there is anything less fast but not slow, I will use that. The Real World counterpart would most likely be an EMV system like TestTrack.

Mission Space- No confirmed location yet but it will most likely be east of Autopia X. It will most likely have more of a Sci-fi theme and not take place in 2036. Instead it is most likely to a launch to a spacestation say near Jupiter or so. With of course the emergency being getting too close to the planet and being pulled down by the massive gravity.

I was planning a Train Station but due to the location of Space Mountain, the tracks run way too far from the paths. There will be one though in Fantasyland I know. (it will most likely be the Small World facade).

I want the transition area between Fantasyland and Tommorowland to be a very mellow place. Something that really has guests relax and such.

And, about 90% of my TTA track is complete. It will be fairly short, probably short than the WDW version but I'll try to have a lengthy Space Mountain section. Now if there was a way to control speed for the peoplemover in RCT3.

American Waterfront:
-I haven't really planned much but right now it seems to be doing well.
-Based on the 1876 American Waterfront and located probably at the north section of the Rivers of America. The town will be themed to Philidelphia's harbor.
-Will include a large bay built into the rivers of America. Faux ships will be docked here giving a look of a harbor.
-Theming will be similar to the TDS version.
-Rides
. . 1.American Adventure- A clone of the Epcot version but with a longer show and a bigger theatre. Modern AAs will house this and the special effects will be beyond WDW's.
. . 2.Ocean Steam Ship- This will o the same thing as the Mark Twain riverboat and Columbia Sailing ship. (all 3 will be on the Rivers of America). This one will look like a standard Ocean designed Steamship with both sails and a paddle-wheel. The boat will be built like a museum on water.
. . 3.Innoventions- A large exposition hall will be built with a main arcade with two parralel halls ajacent to the arcade. It will all be themed to 1876 until the guests enter the actual halls. Here, it will all be modern inventions set up like a trade show.

I still want to build a land between Tommorowland and Mainstreet but both concepts were moved to other locations due to how the park should be set up. Maybe I should build the Haunted Mansion there.

Update: I also have devised a plan for part of Discoveryland (yes there is both a Tommorowland and a Discoveryland). Anyway, I have thought about the 20,000 leagues under the sea ride and I have got this.

-Guests enter the attraction's line by walking on a pier and entering the Nautilus sub. Here, the line goes through the chambers of the sub until the guests leave through an underwater dock and enter a large cavern around the same level as the utilidoors. The guests head underground and pass the facades through the cavern until they reach the show building. Here, they dock the minisubs.
-For the ride, I have no idea what the Toyko version is like or the track design so I came up with one of my own. The cars operate via a suspended monorail like at Tokyo and use Wet-for-dry. The arm holding the sub and the monorail do change elevation though and the ride itself acts as a suspended EMV. To simulate the dive, the arm will drop 5 feet and give the feeling of falling before hitting water and slowly dropping from that.
-Once submerged, the subs travel though many underwater caverns and reefs until they approach some underwater ruins. Upon searching the ruins, the sub runs into a giant sea-monster (most likely a squid but I want a sea dragon). The sub fires missiles and tries to excape but runs into the monster several times. A giant cattle-prod is then charged killing off the squid and the damaged sub returns to dock (with cracked windos and water entering the sub (even if it is wet-for-dry).
-guests will exit through a small house across the path from the Nautilus.

I plan on actually doing this with RCT3 with most likely the suspended monorail but I do plan on designing my own ride systems.

DarkMeasures, have you played the demo yet? Will you still go through with the project? It would seem pretty hard (to me) to build a "Disneyland" park with this new software.

Most of the items missing have been promised to be in the expansion packs. By the 2nd expansion, these problems should be fixed.

But it wouldn't matter anyway, I would draw maps and continue. Anyway, my 20k ride design has evolved into a great attraction.

20k Leagues Under the Sea
-Located in Discoverybay.
-Guests enter the line by entering the Nautilus, from there they explore the many rooms of the sub before exiting though an underwater dock. Here guests appear inside a long stone cavern. When guests look to the left, they can see yellow lights underwater moving very fast back and forth. The path winds through many turns and rooms until it reaches the loading dock. Here, guests finally board.
-The ride vehicle is basically a suspended EMV. A Huge robot arm connects to the sub below controlling movement. The arm can move up and down several feet as well as to the sides and bank the sub in various directions. However, this particular design leaves a heavy ride vehicle. A good track support system was then needed. The track is of only 1 level, one of the reasons is so that if the ride ends up being closed for an extended period, management would not be afraid to open the ride. The track hangs from the ceiling which was built to the fact that terrible stress will come to it.
-There are 2 giant IMAX screens on the ride. Both are giant hemispheres much like how Horizons was. Infact, you could say that this ride is both a modern Horizons as well as a modern 20k.
-The only water on the ride is a little spray used to give the effect of the windows cracking on the ride. The Ride Vehicle itself uses 3 wet-for-dry windows. Each one is huge and allows for a great field of vision. (but engineers so guests still can't see when they want to see.).
-Ride Overview
. .1. Loading- Guests enter the sides of large minisubs (oxymoron) which hold 2 rows of 4. Two subs load at a time and when all is loading, the front sub begins the ride while the second sub reaches a waiting dock. At this part, it is dark in the sub and the underwater appearance given by the windows is hidden.
. .2. Beginning - Once, the ride begins, Captian Nemo explains that they are going to survey a ship graveyard hanging over the continental shelf. After so, the sub begins to dive. To create this effect, the mechanical arm drops about 3 feet very quickly befor gently moving down 1 more foot. After so, the guests can see through the windows into an underwater cavern. The sub moves slowly here for a little until Nemo decides to increase speed.
. .3. IMAX 1 - Here, the guests turn around and find themselves moving very fast via the Imax screen, basically this part operates much like a motion simulator ride. The whole time possible is used for this part. The sub behind the one you are in is literally inches behind you when you finally leave the screen.
. .4. Coral Reef - The Sub is now in a grand coral reef full of brilliant life. The fish appear much more realistic than on the previous 20k rides. Near the end of this section, guests run into a giant sunken ship and enter its side.
. .5. Ship Graveyard - Ships from around the world lay at rest here, there are no more fish and a very forboding theme sits in. Nemo is pleased with the surveying until the attack.
. .6. Sea Monster - A huge sea monster then attacks giving a shock to the guests. Nemo orders to eletrocute the monster and the sub does so. A problem occurs though and the wiring of the sub short-circuits. The whole electrical system dies and guests find that they are over the edge of the continental shelf when it does die.
. .7. Falling - Using the changing elevation technology of Spiderman and The Living Seas (a moving wall), guesst feel as if they are falling and when they look out, they see the cliff moving up. Soon, that dissapears and all guests can sea is darkness, and soon the glowing lights of deep ocean life. However, the sub continues to fall and moaning is heard, soon, the sound of glass cracking is heard and water sprays all over the guests.
. .8. Rescue - Just intime the backup power supply is enabled and the sub starts heading up. The lights turn on and another wall starts moving downward and Nemo confirms the guests' safety. Nemo decides to have the sub return.
. .9. IMAX 2 - The boat turns to another Imax screen giving the view of the sub rushing back to the base, it works basically the same as the earlier one.
. .10. Unloading - The boat then enters base and enters the dock while still underwater. the ship then surfaces and guests exit the sub.
-The building itself wouldn't be very big. I think I calculated that it would be 150 x 120 feet without an extravagant loading station. But it would probably be 200 x 120 if the Station was built grandly. I also don't know how similar or different this version is to the Tokyo version because all I know of the TDS one is that the ride uses Wet-for-dry windows on a suspended monorail.

I do have drawings and I hope to scan soon. I got several quick sketches of the sub and track layout as well as my Tommorowland map.

Don't be so sure. From what I have seen of RCT3, it won't offer much in the architectural field like RCT2 did, especially since custom scenery won't be possible AT FIRSt. I still believe RCT2 is the best game to create a Disney park in. Good luck anyway. I look foward to some screens.

But when the Ride/Scenery creator comes (most likely in a patch because that is the first thing being developed after the game goes gold), I will probably create my own scenery and maybe my own ride systems if I feel like it. My ultimate goal is to create a Covered TTA like at WDW in which you can select the speed for each piece of track. Another one would be create the 20k Ride system I talked about earler.

After watching the Rocket Rodds video, I might change the viewliner into Rocket Rodds.

Rocket Rodds:
-Built over Autopia X and the land between Fantasyland and Tommorowland.
-Features banked track unlike the DL version.
. .1.Line - Most likely to share the line building with the train station. Guests will enter the Tommorowland Transit Design Center where they look at the blueprints for various attractions, the path slowly spirals up to a second floor where a large theatre is. Guests here watch a video while going in line explaining a new transportation that allows cars to easily travel around cities without the need to actually drive them. The Video itself will be made so that it is a couple times longer than it takes to wait through the theatre. Guests leave and find themselves on the launch deck.
. .2.Station - Guests board the cars in a glass covered station. Livewire is used to accent the supports of the station as well as the glass. Cars here load in groups of 2. Each car holds 8 passengers helping solve the capacity issues of both Test Track and Rocket Rodds.
. .3.The Ride Part 1 - The 3 cars move forward slowly on to a platform. It pretty much is like the waiting on Test Track and Rocket Rodds. When the car leaves, it makes many sharp turns through the corridoors of the building (which extends somewhat behind the berm) The ride at this part feels like a Mr. Toad on steroids as the car makes sharp turns and avoids obstacles. Many parts also have open windows to the line. Soon the car leaves the building and stops on an outside platform above the railroad tracks.
. .4. The Launch - On this platform there are racing lights. The car sits there slowly waiting for the green light but I don't feel like building up the suspense right now. When the green light turns on, the car rockets forward on a long stretch of road, after a little, the track turns around and lines itself with iteself like on Testtrack.
. .5. Ride Outside - Here, the ride races around outside above Autopia X. The track weaves around itself many times and at one part it makes itself parallel and level with the TTA. At the end, the car enters the side of Space Mountain (but still outside).
. .6.Space Mountain Slow down - The car banks itself around Space Mountain's side and slowly slows down as it makes its trip around. Finally, the track unbanks and the guests find themselves in the station.
. .7.Unloading - When guests unload, they travel down a series of ramps. There might be a gift-shop at the bottom but does this really need a gift shop? At least the skies above Autopia X will be interesting.

I would say RocketRodds would be about as long as 1:30 maybe longer. At night the track would remain unlit giving a really cool night ride in tommorowland.

Anyway, the ride could actually reach 100 mph. I thought of a way to solving the Emergency Stop Banking problem. The Car can actually rotate itself 30 degrees so that if it does stop, it can decrease the banking to increase comfort until the ride restarts or a CM comes and evacuates the guests.

Yet another update.

I have recently been redesigning my Tommorowland again. This time it is more based on Disneyland's.

Anyway, the big news is that I have came up with a nice idea for the north Circular theatre in Tommorowland. Basically, since most of Tommorowland is convention themed, (as in was WDW's New Tommorowland) the new show will be a new invention showcase. It will though be 3D.

Guests have traveled to Tommorowland's convention center to see both the bigt exhibits of Time Travel and Teleportation but for inventers whose inventions aren't on as grand of a scale, a theatre was built to showcase their work. The Theatre will be the same size as a circle-vision theatre and will look similar to a circlevision theatre except there are seats. and there is one standard 3-D screen with two smaller LED screens on the side.

The show goes off with the scientists showing off crazy inventions. Like one where it rain's wherever you press a button on a remote (someone accidently presses it and it goes a little above with a thunderstorm). Anyway, the show will be more of the moderation of HISTA and will be kid-friendly.

I can't think of a name but I like the concept especially since it fits in with the theme I have with Tommorowland.

KentB3 has inspired me to talk about some of my Downtown Disney park. Bascially, it would be on a large peninsula in the middle of the central lake kinda like the planned Asian resort at WDW.

It would also combine with aspects of the Burbank entertainment center concept. And it will feature stuff from Navy Pier in Chicago.

Areas:
Market Center
Boardwalk
City Center
Club Center
Theatre District
Downtown Disney Hotel

The bus access road to my MK park will be the same as in WDW's including the part where it goes underwater. There, though, it stays in a tranch to the south with Downtown Disney's entrance above. The Parking lot would be to the east of this road above and most likely be multilevel including a peoplemover station. Guests from here would travel above the bus road on bridges to the entrance. In the middle is a path that goes directly to Downtown Disney. Above that path and to the sides is the mighty Downtown Disney hotel which wouldn't differ much from the hotel plan for the burbank entertainment district.

Guests would enter a large enclosed shopping center with a glass roof much like at Navy Pier. Here is the location of the Market Center. The area is nice and open and is good for bad weather. If guests exit this part to the north, they enter City Center. To the south is the boardwalk.

City Center will be very similar to West Side with both a Virgin Megastore, AMC theatre, and Disneyquest. Disneyquest will be completly different that the WDW version with more custom rides and a bigger arcade. It will also be far cheaper for access.

Boardwalk will be more like WDW's boardwalk with probably part of the DTD hotel extending out as boardwalk buildings. Here, a huge Ferris Wheel will be located with a bar located in each cabin.

Club Center will be the same as pleasure island with its current rules.

And, the Theatre District will probably be the most promising. There are a number of theatres for different shows.

Broadway Theatre- Rotates Disney Broadway shows
Shakespear Theatre - Rotates Shakespear Plays
Cirque Du Soliel - New show
Blue Man Group - Similar to Live at Luxor (soon to be venician).

Each theatre group would get to design the theatre of their choosing and have 100% control of what goes on with the show.

I'll probably start drawing a map of this area tonight.
