Ok. I have a huge map in my room that I am using to design paradise Disney. In my previous versions, I could place an exact indy footprint no problem, but on this version, I ran into problems. I first was able to fit the footprint but it ment a super-long line that took up too much space and I was left with no room for expansion. I however, first redesigned the Jungle Cruise over where the removed Indy was and left a layout that allowed a nice space of land and access to a outside the berm Indy ride.
I placed in the basic building shape and built the line buildings (which are quite large since they also hold room for the train and junglecruise). And overtime, my line buildings got pretty huge and expansive but in reality nothing else could go there. But I noticed something, I wanted an access road between both Indy and Journey to the Center of the Earth (the volcano is strategecly placed so it appears as part of Adventureland when it is not).
Well I had to redesign the showbuilding and I set it to the given space. Then, I designed a layout inside (since the tradition layout would not work), and then I removed the excess parts of the building.
When I was done though, I got the largest single attraction at my Paradise Disney. I thought Space Mountain would be larger, but nope. Indy is absolutly huge.
Line:
Part 1- Outside-
Guests enter a small beaten path at the far end of Adventureland near Discoveryland (there is also a Tommorowland at the other side of the park). As they progress through this jungle path next to the rivers of the Jungle Cruise, temple ruins show themselves and up above the treetops is a large Temple. What is amazing is that due to the park's set up, there is a huge 199 foot tall volcano behind the temple. So it is rather dramatic and will make everybody go, "That must have set them back a few bucks".
Part 2-Inside-
The first room is the plaza under the temple entrance. Here, guests will be able to freely walk around and the three entrances will be here (single, fastpass, standby). After leaving the plaza room, the line decends into a dark cave. Water drips from the ceiling and statues are carved out of the rockwork. Behind some walls, guests can see the jungle cruise boats pass. (but the boats can't see the guests, as well the train can see the boats but the boats can't see the train).
In this cavern room, the standby line snakes around cooridors in and out of small chambers and does many things in this large room. Both Fastpass and standby though follow out on the perimeter but are still able to see everything.
The next room contains a more traditional temple look and features many small rooms with each a special theme. There are switchbacks for the standby but most of the space went through to an understanding that those switchbacks wont be used unless there is a hour+ wait. There are a lot of twisting cooridoors and the paths slowly up and down with two different levels. At the end, guests head down an incline plane and end up between the two loading platforms of Indiana jones - The Black Vault.
Story:
The story is very similar to the previous Indys as it is that he is giving tours and well one of the jeeps ends up at the fate of some random artifact. This time though, it is a long black tunnel that had never previously opened up. That is why it was named the black vault. Signs all over the temple have shown nothing but possibly more of the temple. It all goes wrong though and boom, a wildly fun time.
Ride:
-Loading- Just like the other Indys and Dinosaur.
-The Black Vault- The car emmediatly turns right from the station and enters an area of 3 different doors. In the middle is a large black door that is very ornate from the others. Indy is in the room directing and the room moves to choose which door the car enters. Well, in the end it chooses the black vault and Indy warns them not to stare at anything due to possible traps and curses. Guests enter the hall and at the end is a strange device. Someone yells don't look but a huge flash occurs as well as lots of wind and furing that time, the car makes a large sharp turn to the left. Emmediatly a dropping sensation is felt. (though the car is now on the second level).
-Snake Tunnel- Here, there be many snakes and such as well as the giant one (note, I never have been on the indys which I consider a good thing for the overall ride design). The big snake makes a jump (Stitch quality AA) and it scares people. The car though leaps forward and turns slowly through some dark rooms. At the end, a bunch of spikes shoot out of the wall, barely hitting the car as it swerves into the lava chamber.
-Lava Chamber- The car almost drives off a cliff and slowly hands off for a second before regaining control (4-wheel drive in 1936, oh yeah!). Guests can now see a good glimse of the chamber. Lava below, and may other things. Huge broken statues stand at the edges and well, it feels very early. There is a large smoke whrilpool seen but the car veers off into another tunnel. The tunnel features some cool effects but it is nothing compared to the bridge.
-The Bridge- The car re-enters the lavachamber at the bridge and well the bridge is rickety and there is a smokey thing in the middle. The car reaches it and it turns into a large image (holograms are possible, especially in the timeline of when I am saying this park is built). The image curses the group and 4 huge knives start coming down to cut the bridge and the car gets stuck but Indy runs in and shoots an object allowing the car to go free.
-The escape- The car then rushes through the ramaining tunnels at a fast pace making wild turns and being more intense than ever. Darts, pendelums and other such things threaten the rides but they stay safe. Even with falling ceilings and such. The car quickly makes a turn into a large hall. Using special effects, the hall seems to go on forever backwards due to mirrors and such. The walls, themselves use a conveyor system like Spiderman's rising effect to give the idea of moving forward or backwards. The car moves forward and so is Indy ahead, on a podium. (not hanging).
-The ball- The ball drops down from above and all hell breaks loose. He starts running towards the car and the car starts backing up as the ball chases both Indy and the car. The ball gets very close but not close enough and Indy falls into a pit just inches from the car and yells for the car to go forward. The car goes into drive and falls down the pit narrowly avoiding the ball. (Better than Indy on a rope?) The car makes a fall and ends up making a few turns and returns to the station.
-Unloading- Depends on your side, but the whole idea is to make this all wheel-chair accessible. The paths meet the ADA standards and guests head off to a catwalk where they slowly go through some rooms and end up back into the central chamber. Here, they can re-enter the line or leave to another adventure.
I know it is still very similar but I do like the idea of Indy in the ball room. It would be great to actually see an AA run towards the car (even if the car is moving forward). But it would for sure leave a much more exilharating experience. On the history note of Paridise Disney. This is being considered as a phase 2 or 3 attraction but with the line already in place at park opening. The show building is absolutly huge though. 300 feet by 240 feet. With the line included, the who building complex is 480 feet on the long side.
