Again, maybe this has already been discussed, but what's your favorite parade?

I've seen MSEP, SpectroMagic, the Character Hit Parade (1990), the Surprise Celebration Parade (1992), Mickey Mania (arghhh - 1996), Magical Moments (99/2000) and Mickey's Very Merry Xmas Parade.

Since I saw Magical Moments and MSEP every day for almost two months, I gotta go with them... I even remember a bit of the routines!! And the Xmas one is really cute too.

SpectroMagic, Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade, and Tapestry of Nations/Dreams (despite the trolls, I like the rest of Tapestry of Dreams)

Oh, thats easy... Spectromagic; Hands-Down!

I love everything about the parade, enough so I was made when MSEP came back that one year. I just think it is the most awesome parade ever. I think the music phenominal and the floats and characters exemplify what the Magic truly is.:D

Before I say what my favorite is, let me say that I can't stand the daytime magic kingdom parades:hurl: :hurl:. Not sure why, but I can't stand them. My favorite disney parade has to be spectromagic and second is tapesty of nations (haven't seen tapesty of dreams yet).

I know I may get a lot of negative feedback in responce to what I'm about to say, but Universal does a great job on their parades too. I'd have to say that I like the mardi gras parade that they have now just as much as I like spectro magic. The floats may be a bit cheaper at universal, but it is still a great parade:lol:! It may be because I've ridden on the floats in that parade a few times, but I liked it before too.

Also, is it just me, or would it be a great idea for disney to throw stuff out into the crouds like Universal does too? It's a big hit there, and I'm sure it would be at Disney too. I'm not sure what disney could throw out to be different from Universal, but I'm sure they could find something.

Maybe I'm forgetting, but what parade at any of the parks doesn't have music?

I know, but some of the music I don't like. So if the music is not good then I won't like the parade most likely.

disney throws beads out to the guests for their Mardi Gras parade and during the 20th anniversary, with those big blow up characters (I loved this parade), they through 20th anniversary coins to guests. This is what "guest interaction" used to involve. Disney decided for two reasons that it would be better to have Guests dance along with the parades and furthermore pull them INTO the parades. A) There is no clean-up afterwards--cheaper. B) guests like getting pulled into the parades and dancing along MORE...especially little kids! Also, before, when they threw stuff out...a lot of kids wouldn't be able to get anything, especially if they weren't close enough to the street. That made for unhappy kids! With disney's current guest interaction, everyone can get in on the fun! So everyone is happy! They still throw beads out for Mardi Gras b/c that consists of drunk adults...and it's funny to watch them fight for plastic beads!

my favorite is....

Fantillusion

hands down, bar-none.

but for WDW it's a 4 way tie between MSEP, MVMCP, Hallowen Parade, and Jammin' Jungle Parade

I didn't know Disney ever had a mardi gras parade. Universal's parade does consist of drunk adults, but it also includes lots and lots of kids. When you ride on the floats, they tell you not to throw the beads to the drunk adults, unless they are doing something really crazy, or are wearing something to do with mardi gras. They tell you to throw the majority of the beads to the kids and the elderly people and the people way in the back. I've had cast members signal at me to throw beads to people that aren't getting any too. You are right, it is funny to see people fight over the beads.

They have a Mardi Gras Parade at Pleasure Island every year for the week prior to Fat Tuesday, where cast members dress up with masks, hand out beads prior, and during the parade (complete with floats), which is run twice nightly, they throw beads to the guests. The Mardi Gras celebration also has...carny games...so disney had carny games well before Dino-Rama opened...but it was only one week a year!
