Do the parades in the Magic Kingdom travel the same direction each time?

If so, where does Spectro Magic start and where does Share
a Dream parade start ?

:)

Yes, they do. The start and stop points are on the park maps.

I can't describe where they start, but it is over in Frontierland I think. The, as far as I can remember, they end at the square on the main entrance.

I know the route they take, but in 1996 the 3 pm parade started
in frontierland and the night Electrical parade started from
main street.

Do they currently have the same start point and if so where?

The daytime parade (which is currently "Share a Dream Come True") always starts near Splash Mountain.

The nighttime parade (which is currently "Spectromagic") always starts on Main Street.

I'd listen to what this guy has to say. For some reason I believe him.

From what I was told, the way the parades go in the MK is to do with crowd control. Share A Dream for example starts at Frontierland, near Splash Mountain, and finishes near the entrance to the MK on Main Street, however, Spectromagic goes in the opposite direction, why, well think about it. As soon as the parade finishes at night, people want to get out of the park, if the parade was to finish on Main Street, there would be loads of people pushing through the crowds still watching the parade, and jumping in front of the floats. Because they would have come from the back of the park (well, Frontierland area) where the parade has already finished. By operating the parade the other way round, the park will start emptying from the front of the park. In the daytime, the people watching the parade in Frontierland can disperse into the middle of the park, while the parade is still running on Main Street.

LOL~ they run opposite each other..or they did when we were there in May/June...but here is the funny part...we had eight in our group..the kids insisted on having their own maps...so I walk up to a CM to ask about the parade so we would have good seats near the circle...she looks at me and shouts at me "ITS all right there on the map ma'am" and I say "Well not on any of these!" She grabs it and says...its the dots....but on all of ours there are NO DOTS...apparently they had about 100 bad maps that didnt have the parade route listed! She changed her tune pretty darn fast..really sorry...But I know people get tired so I didnt fault her or anything...just the look on her face...then she wanted the maps..but the kids wouldn't give them up...we gave her one so she could have an example of the bad batch...still the whole thing was pretty funny.
