Where are the best places to watch the parades and the fireworks?

At the Magic Kingdom, I have found Spectromagic to be enjoyable from Liberty Square, crowds aren't too bad and you don't have to totally fight your way throught them at the end. Wishes is the best from around the hub or even back a little more into mainstreet.

Out of all of the spots I have seen Illuminations, I think the best is the American Adventure, I have never had to get there more than 15 minutes early to get a spot right up along the fence, then again I may have lucked out each time.

I haven't seen Jammin Jungle or Stars and Motor Cars so I can't help you out on those, but Fantasmic is best from the middle section, and im sure a lot of people will agree on that.

For most of these though it all depends on your preference.

The best place to see Illuminations is from Italy, but you aren't likely to get a spot against the lagoon unless you pay extra. The backstage tours give you a pass, and I think there is a dessert party package, too. The next best thing is Germany next door. Just do not go the other way around the lagoon. Japan, France, UK are typically the way the wind is facing, so you'll often get a face full of smoke.

I agree with goofyfan13 on the MK spots.

I've only ever caught the DAK parade by accident so don't know where a prime spot is... always end up spending too much time animal watching.

Here's my take.

Wishes- On main street right past the shops just before you get to the hub where the Walt/Mickey statue is.

Spectromagic- In Liberty Square or on the bridge that connects the HUB and and Tomorrowland. That way when the parade is over, you're not stuck in the crowds and you can easily get to Fantasyland or Tomorrowland. This goes for the daily 3pm parade as well.

Fantasmic - It's best to sit in the Mickey Section wish is dead center of the theater. About 1/3 up from the bottom.

Mickey's Starts and Motor Cards Parade- As close to Rock 'n' Roller Coaster as possible so you can go on it asap just as the parade is ending.

Illuminations- Most places are good to watch the show but I always think that the best place to watch it is at the entrance to World Showcase so that your back is to spaceship earth.

Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade - The best place to watch this parade from is on the pathway between Anandapor (Asia) and Harambe (Africa). If you sit on the side that's closest to the river, you can sit on the chairs that are there and then watch the parade while seated.
