Parade "best locations"

I know that the Disney daytime parade stops in 5 or 6 locations for small perfomance times - do you know the locations of those stops and best places to sit to see? We will only have one opportunity to see the electric light parade in the evening because it is only offered on Sat. nights right now (Sept.23-30). What if it rains - will they still have it? Is the best place to see this at the main hub in front of the castle? We want to be able to see Tinkerbell, the parade and fireworks.
