Panic over space!

We are heading to WDW on July 21st and have reserved a room at the Wilderness Lodge. There are three adults (me, sister and Mom) and my 8 month old plus my 2 1/2 year old nephew. Baby will be in crib and the toddler sleeping in Queen with his mom. I am really starting to panic over space. We are pretty accomodating people and are just so glad to be going that we will make due with anything but I am starting to really second guess my choice! I understand that the rooms at the Polynesian and Contemporary are much bigger. Does anyone if it is still possible this close to the arrival date to switch to a different hotel? Will it cost us a change fee? We booked doing the buy 4 get 3 free deal and I do not even know if we can possibly change because we did that. I also do not even know if they would still have rooms available using that package. I thought maybe some of you especially the travel agents might have some advice. I am thinking we will have to suck it up and bond over our closeness but just in case I thought I might check!

I didn't think the rooms at the Wilderness Lodge were that small. I think you will all be fine in that you all have a place to sleep and there is enough room for you to all sit around and talk / watch TV but I think you will really notice it when it comes to using the bathroom - something which a bigger room won't fix! Getting rady for bed or for going to the parks might take a while.

I guess having young kids means that everyone is in for an early night but nothing really going to change that!

If everyone is easy going with each other you all will be fine. Bathroom use will be your biggest issue and closet/dresser space for clothes. I stayed there I did not find the rooms to be abnormally small at all. Pretty typical hotel room size. I do not think you can change the 4/7 anymore anyways. I changed from yacht club to Grand Floridian at the end of March and the CM told me I did it in the nick of time. So :shrug: about changing anyways. You could always call and ask to see if it is possible.

No worries, you'll be fine. The rooms there are plenty big. And the balcony will help when the kiddies are napping.
