I am seriously considering on buying one of these for my first ever Disney holiday in late Feb next year.

Has anyone used one of these cameras before at Disney and can share their experiences using it? I'm particularly curious about how it handles in low light or fireworks action.

If not this camera could you suggest another camera in this price range.

I have a camera atm but it is to put it bluntly... crap lol. I would much sooner get a new camera for when we go and let my younger brother use my current camera so he is not without one on the trip.

Thanks in advance :)

I was also in the market for a compact superzoom for my son so I came across the TZ30 (it's known as the ZS20 here in the US). Here's some interesting reviews on the Panasonic and a few other competitors in the range from dpreview.com:

If you have the funds and would be able to invest in a compact travel camera that would serve you for a long time I would recommend looking at the Sony RX-100.

Good luck and enjoy your upcoming trip to WDW.

Thank you for the alternative product suggestions in this price range. I seriously have no idea what I'm doing when looking for a camera. I just want a product that takes good quality shots and decent video. Thanks for the suggestions :)

The other camera you suggested though is a little out of my price range lol

The Panasonic TZ line is actually very good -- there were a few models that were not so good, but the current incarnation is excellent -- plus you can often get it on discount. Costco in the US, for example, often has it for 50 - 75.00 off the regular price. You would be very happy with it at WDW.

The Lumix TZ30 keeps coming back up as the camera I want to get lol. Either the Panasonic Lumix TZ30 or the Sony WX150 or the Sony 20V

I would say get the TZ30. It is a cracking camera. I've had the TZ4, 7 (had to get it to replace the 4 i dropped, not long before the 10 came out) and got the TZ30 this year.

My main camera is a Nikon D300, but I always carry a pocket camera.

The zoom on the TZ30 is incredible, and even at full zoom you get sharp pics. Low light performance has improved a lot from my TZ7, and having full manual controls is a huge bonus.
