Paid room available but not dvc room available for same date

Some times Ican not get a room at a resort but can look to purchase and there are many available. My sales person said they had to keep some available for the general public. Anyone have this problem?

Yes a certain allotment at each DVC resort is owned/kept by Disney for regular cash bookings at all times. So this is possible to happen. I have not had it happen to me yet as I usually book right at 11 months but when wanting to add cash days to my points stay I have run into this where I could not get the DVC discounted rate because no DVC inventory was left. So I had to book the cash days out of the regular inventory without my DVC discount. Luckily the last time I added cash days this year there was DVC inventory left so I got my DVC discount for the extra days I added.

No, I don't have a problem as the OP asked. A small percentage of rooms are kept out of points inventory and anytime an ownder "trades" out to DCL or Adventures by Disney, etc. those rooms then go to cash to ensure they get used and offset costs. Theyr'e not being "taken" from the members.

So no, I don't have an issue with it.

Since nobody has said that you did have a problem with it, I'm not sure to whom you are referring.
