Hey every one good Morning! I am excited that I am only 201 days away from Disney even though I wish it was now, I'm trying to make a packing list. This is my first time bringing my daughter and I was wondering if any parents out there can let me know little things not to forget? I would appreciate it! Have a Magical Day!

What we did when we had kids that age is made a list of the things that we used on a daily basis, then reviewed to see what we could live without, then packed the stuff we couldn't live without.

Best thing we brought was a fan that attached to the stroller! It was soooo hot and I imagine sitting in a padded/cushioned stroller made it warmer. So we got him a little fan and he loved it.

Also a stroller poncho for when it rained. Was great for protecting the stroller when it had to sit outside during meals/rides....and when kiddo had to ride and stay dry. Those seats dont dry quickly.

Other than that...just the basics really. I brought diapers/wipes, a change of clothes, sunscreen, a hat/sunglasses.

We didn't bring any toys...Disney did great keeping my son entertained. :)

Sooo true. Dont pack it just because you MIGHT need it. Pack it if you are pretty/almost certain you will need it.

Snacks, snacks, and more snacks. There is a lot of waiting that goes on during a wdw trip (lines, check ins, buses, characters) and 16 months is not typically a patient time, so snacks or little toys really help. Also, while Disney has tons of food options for kids, they have no kid-sized silverware- we usually bring the Gerber disposable plastic spoons and a little jar of dish soap to wash. We'll be there with our 4 kids in sept. too! Have fun!!

When my bro was little, we used to pack tops that were light, that are like Basketball jersey material kind of tops so they are not too hot and wiped easily when they spill stuff on them.

Also, probably buy one of the water spray fans or get an electric one you can attach to a stroller so they aren'y hot and bothered. Apart from that you're fine, apart from the basics obviously :)

I wouldn't hesitate on a quality, lightweight umbrella stroller that won't cause your child or yourself undo discomfort. I would absolutely bring hand sanitizer, a full pack of baby wipes, sealable baggies to divvy up said wipes, an extra outfit with a bag to carry a potentially soiled one home, swim diapers if you plan on going in the water (can be purchased if you so desire @ WDW), a hat for your child, snacks or light meal replacements like fruit sauce packets plus whatever else your child likes, a light jacket, a water bottle that your child can drink from, and plenty of diversions (lines can be rough).

The item that is a "must pack" for me is sealable baggies. They are great for organizing things in the backpack (chapsticks & face sunscreen or hair clips/ comb or snacks, etc). But they come in handy in the hotel room to contain open snacks and to organize all the little things like stickers and buttons that are collected in the park. We even keep a baggie for spare change.

Definitely one of the water spray fans. It keeps everyone happier and is $7 at home and $25+ in the parks. Another vote for a stroller rain cover. It's great to have in reserve, even if you don't need it.

Also bring a lightweight blanket or towel that you can drape over the front of the stroller during nap time in the stroller or just for some extra sun protection since you can't control where it will be at every moment. Lots of baby wipes.

I would vote against an umbrella type stroller. When touring all day, a lightweight stroller that reclines back for naps, has a tray for the child, has a sun cover, has a footrest for the child and has a tray for you as well is such a nice thing to have. Most fold up small enough that they aren't a big burden. I had a cheap umbrella stroller one trip and it was so hot out that the wheels heated up, expanded and fell off of the rim. Luckily we only had another day left. That is the main reason I am so against a cheap Umbrella stroller.

We bought a Baby Trend Trendsport from Toys R' Us and that lasted us through 2 kids and heavy, heavy use. It ended up taking the place of our big Travel System stroller.

Biggest thing to remember is that it is very hot and humid 201 days from now in Orlando... So don't expect to be able to spend a lot of time in the park from about 11:00am to 6:00pm, at least not unless you want to risk over heating your daughter. Also don't forget the sun screen... and make sure your hotel has a microwave and icebox if you need them for formula... Also if you pack your formula in your suitcase put it in a very good container that preferable with a screw on top, we had our powdered formula bust open in a suitcase on one trip and it made a huge mess.

Not sure where you are staying, if you are in a monorail resort they work great for ease of getting you back for an afternoon nap... if not then I suggest you rent a car and don't use the Disney buses, they aren't very good when you have a cranky baby.

I would recommend packing clothes by "outfit". I brought 2 outfits for each day and packed the suitcase that way (rather then all tops then all bottoms). That way my husband could dress my son too and we wouldn't end up with mis-matched clothes by the end of the trip.

I also bought a water proof lined bag from buy buy baby. Came in very handy last summer when my son got sick on multiple occasions. We just threw the sick clothes in the bag and zipped it up. We were able to wash it out and air dry in the hotel.

Cheap $1 ponchos work well for the stroller too. One to sit on and one to put on the child.

Finally I would highly recommend the jeep Cherokee stroller. Is light and folds up very quickly but comfortable for the kiddo. (We used this same stroller in Italy when my son was 18 months and it worked perfectly at the airport and touring). I put 2 clips on the handle and this hooks our small back pack or any shopping bags purchased.

I believe you can also have things shipped to your resort. I'm looking into having a case of diapers shipped from amazon for our next trip instead of packing them in the suitcase.
