We're planning a June 2010 trip. I know we'll probably be able to book our package August 2009. I've seen that there is a $200 deposit. What if I wanted to pay the package in full with credit card at the time of booking, so that my trip is "paid in full" and I can just make payment on the credit card? Is there a way to make a larger payment that the deposit when you are booking? I'm planning to do it through the website.

Actually, to clarify ... I believe this is only true for package reservations. I know for our upcoming trip we're splitting the stay between two resorts, one on a package reservation and one on a room only reservation.
The package I had the option to pay anything above $200 up to the total of the reservation.
The room only would only take the deposit of one night's stay. I can either call to pay the rest, or wait til check in.

They will take the money however you want to get it to them. Put on your disney visa and you get some extras too I think.
