Owning points for multiple homes

I've been tossing around the idea of purchasing DVC, and I'd like some input on this thought. Rather financing a large purchase of points, I'm thinking about using cash to purchase 50 point lots on the secondary market each year over the next three or four years, possibly at different home resorts. That way I'd get the 11 month window at multiple locations and I would be able to purchase points with available cash rather than breaking the bank. Understanding the fact that the different lots would have different remaining lives and that the titling requirements appear to be very specific in order to have all of the points under one account(not sure if that's the right term), are there any pitfalls I need to be aware of? I'm sure that I'm not the first person to have this idea. Thoughts?

The big problem with it is that say you have 50 pts at BLT and AKL and SS and want to stay a week at BLT, you would only get the 11 month booking window for your 50 pts at BLT and have to wait until the 7 month booking window for the remaining nights. But you could always stay a couple of days at each resort allowing you to take advantage of the 11 month window.

1) Contracts that size are not so easy to find, and they tend to cost more per point than bigger contracts.
2) On the resale contracts, you're not eligible for full DVC benefits any more.
3) I think getting them titled under one account is not so easy!
4) Managing more than one contract is WORK, especially if they have different use years.
5) Finally, you'd probably end up doing a lot of inconvenient split stays, or settling for a second-choice resort, because you can't combine all of your points for one reservation at the 11-month window. That's the biggest drawback IMO.

For the reasons in the post above, I to would think that it would be more work with several small accounts. Also you can not put together deads from the resale under one account unless they are the same use year (and may same resort?).

Thanks! That's why I wanted to ask the experts! I wasn't sure whether the points could be combined to make a single reservation at one location at the 11-month mark, so thanks especially for clearing that up.
