Outside restaurant for viewing Wishes

I am unable to make reservations at Calif Grill (yet) but I do not want to wait till last minute and end up not having a place. I may still hold out for CG but are there any other restaurants outside the park that would have a good view?

You can see the fireworks from Ohana's at the Poly, they have really good food, and, it's family style. Not sure if they pump in them music like at CG, and there is a fairly good chance you won't be able to see the fireworks from the table they give you. If you request one with that view, you shouldn't have a problem with the view.

We like doing Ohana before fireworks and then hitting the Poly beach since they also pipe in the soundtrack. That way we don't risk getting a table without a view. Plus the beach is relaxing. Narcoosee's is also popular since I guess you can go out from there and see the show.

We already have reserve. for Ohana one morning but going out to the Poly beach sounds nice especially if they have the music. Can you see the castle tho? So maybe Narcoosees for dinner then Poly beach for show.

Dinner is very different...so it's one that's usually fine to do both meals. You can see the castle...in fact, it's pretty much perfectly aligned with the Poly beach. I can post pics later. I can also post pictures from Cali Grill for you to compare.

My vote is the Poly beach as well after or before eating at Ohana's

If you are going to just go sit on the beech for the show, and can go a little out of your way, I highly recommend Turf Club at Saratoga Springs.
