Out with the old, in with the New

With all the changes at UOR, my head is spinning. I am sad to see some things go, but frankly, I understand they are no longer relevant. Like toon lagoon- I adore it, but it is a stretch even for me. Betty Boop is far past her prime I'm afraid, as is Beetle Bailey, Popeye, Rocky and Bullwinkle, and Haggard. With the addition of Nintendo and now Sanrio, do you think we will be seeing more IPs that have been resurrected from the 80's? It's not a bad way to go- something that appeals to parents and kids today. Another example would be My Little Pony I guess.

Do you think they will try to resurrect what's already there- like Disney has done with PotC and Tomorrowland?

You beat me to it. A lot of those old characters are going to wax and wane in terms of relevance. But they never go away fully. You never know when one of them will become relevant again. And Universal can't be paying much to use them.

Love Popeye and Dudley. Could they use a more relevant star, most likely. I think Popeye endures over time though so he may have legs still.
