Other stuff to do outside WDW

Looking ahead to Nov 13 with a possible trip to WDW, we always like to divide our time to WDW and to other stuff outside the 'world and was looking for any suggestions at what to do and where to go in and around Orlando. Seaworld, IoA and Universal go without saying, but I was thinking about anything interesting which is a short easy drive from WDW.

Any ideas?

We always schedule a day or 2 over at Kennedy Space Center ds is a space nut. We usually stop either on the way down or up. DTD is good for shopping and dh says I shouldn't be allowed in the outlet malls something about a credit limit. lol

LEGOLAND
Florida Mall
International Drive Outlets (I always find something at the North Face store).

I really enjoyed Pointe Orlando when it had shops instead of all the bars. Still, it was those very bars and their drunken, overly loud and obnoxious (especially at 2am) patrons that had us seeking the refuge of the Disney bubble.
