Other favorite Wishes spots

Hey all,

I'm going for the first time with two little girls, so we will have a double stroller. Wishes is my favorite fireworks show, but with the stroller I'm looking to avoid seeing it with the other thousands of people in front of the castle. So what I'm looking for is a good place to watch it on the back side of the castle. Are there any good places to see it from that angle. How about Toontown, Adventureland or Frontierland, are there any good spots to watch Wishes from there?

Thanks for your help.

Your best bet it to watch it in Fantasyland between the Carousel and Snow White. There will be a rope set up right there because no one is allowed near the castle due to the firework fallout. But that is a great spot, and you can see all of the fireworks, as well as Tinkerbell! Also there are never that many people in that area. Mostly people who are walking through and then just stop to watch the fireworks. I hope this help, and definitely enjoy Wishes!

My new favorite spot is the bridge in front of Splash Mountain where the logs turn around after the big drop... the big fireworks go off over Tom Sawyer Island and you can still see the other effects from the castle. And its DESERTED over there, which is of course wonderful!

i saw wishes loads of times on my last trip all from different places around MK and from what you say i would say that a great place to see them with strollers is by the indy speedway i swear no one stands infront of you and i had this amazing view of them - it truely was amazing. it would be a great view for the little ones aswell they feel really near and the view is WOW!!!:)

i like watching wishes from main street outside the ice cream parlour and by where the queue starts for the indy speedway. basically as long as i can hear the wishes music im good and happy :sohappy:

I realize that living in Orlando, you probably see the show as many times as you like, but for those of us who get down maybe once a year, I always enjoy see the show at the Hub or Main Street to have the Castle in the background. Don't you miss not having the castle as part of the picture?

Well yeah, that's my ultimate favorite spot... but the OP was asking about where the best place to watch it without gobs of crowds.. and frontierland is great. And you can see the castle from there, too.

Can you still hear the music etc from these other locations or is that only available in front of the castle? The music is really important, don't you think?

I watched a bit of video from this and I just can't wait, but lack of crowds would be nice. I only watched half the video as to only be half spoiled. ;)

They play the music all over the park.

If you want to leave the park about a half hour before Wishes, I know the warf near Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian has a great view of the fireworks, and you can hear the music too!

You could also try the Polynesian or the TTC, this is where one of the monorail drivers said was the best place to watch from.

We like to watch from the beach at the Poly. Usually it is not crowded at all and you can sit back and watch from the lounge chairs. The view for this past year's special Hallo-Wishes was amazing. We were in the park for the special edition of Wishes during the MVMCP and you miss a lot not being to see it from a little bit of a distance.

One of my new favorite locations is the walkway the goes beside the Noodle Terrace. Granted, we had to stand on a bench, but we had an excellent view of the castle and there was only one other family near us. Everyone else was just passing by.

If you are going to be there for a couple of nights and might plan on seeing Wishers more than once you HAVE to stand at Mainstreet to see it at least once. When Fantasy in the Sky was the nighttime show, it really didn't seem to matter where you stood, but for Wishes the castle is the focal point and the whole things really loses something when you stand anywhere else. Your girls will love it! Make sure your view isn't obstructed by any trees, you don't want to miss Tinkerbell!!!

Hi. When I worked in Toon Town, I found that if you stood in front of County Bounty, facing the store, you got an incredible view of the Fireworks and it was less crowded then near the Castle.

One trip, we sat at a table at Casey's corner. Pretty good view!

Middle of mainstreet was awesome.

We also watched it from behind the castle on a bench near dumbo. Not crowded at all. We found out why. Sitting there puts you right in the middle of the fireworks. If you don't mind turning your head every few minutes, it's pretty cool.

You can find a table on the noodle terrace and get comfortable. I thought it was an excellent view, and an added bonus is the fact that tinkerbell flies right over, which the kids really loved.
