Osborne Lights BGM

Hey, I know it's SO out of season but I've been thinking about this lately. During the non-dancing lights portion of the Osborne Lights they play various Christmas BGM. They play a version of 'I'll Be Home For Christmas' with a male singer and I have no clue who it is. Anyone have a list of the songs they play in the interim between dancing lights?

Unfortunately I do not know the entire loop or the specific song you are asking about.

However, I will say that this song linked here is my favorite on that loop:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzqQdc8wljY
("Christmas Canon", by Trans Siberian Orchestra)

The first time I ever saw the Osborne lights this track had just started as I walked up, and then the "snow" began to fall. I just about completely melted!

Also, my favorite track on the Main Street Christmas loop can be found beginning at around the 2:15 mark of this clip, and ending around 5:15:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eEXlc3IeSCE
("Ihr Kinderlein Kommet", from Music Box Christmas)

Absolutely sublime, especially in the atmsphere of the Main Street lights, Christmas tree lights, and Castle lights!

If I find more info about the Osborne loop, I will post it.

EDIT - Here is an incomplete list of the Osborne loop that unfortunately does not list the track you are looking for:

Here is a complete list of the Main Street USA loop for both DL and MK:

Thanks for your post, now I'm excited about Christmas season - just a few months before the decorations and music loops start! :)

I love listening to the music played during the Osborne lights. I wish they sold a DVD of the street from all directions with the music playing and the lights dancing. I would play it over and over during the Christmas season.

My favorite is Feliz Navidad and it has a great memory attached. My mom and I were taking in the lights while standing near a cast member. Feliz Navidad started playing and the CM started to dance to it. My mom and I started to join her and before you know it there were about 20 to 30 others keeping in step with us. It was so much fun! That song will always take me back to that moment. :D

I love Feliz Navidad as well!

Actually, the DVD "The Magic of Christmas at Walt Disney World" sold at the parks during the Holidays has a complete walk-through of the entire Osborne Light Display as a bonus feature! You can watch it from four angles (front, back, left, and right), plus a "directors cut" switching between the various angles, plus crowd and aerial shots.

This is an awesome, thorough clip of the visuals of the entire display. However, it was filmed before the lights started dancing and it doesn't have the entire music loop. The audio is intrumentals from Nutcracker and "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" that I don't think are actually part of the loop. There are two additional audio tracks - one is a commentary by a Disney Cast Member who is involved with production of the display, and the other is a commentary by the Osborne Family themselves!

You can find clips of the lights dancing on YouTube, however:

Thank you for letting me know about the DVD. I will have to get one to add to my WDW dvd collection.

I found some EXCELLENT footage of the Osborne lights in dancing mode at Martin Smith's comprehensive video site! They are in the same video as the Cinderella's Holiday Wish castle lighting show. The Osborne lights footage begins at about the 7:40 mark and runs for approximately 9 minutes. Scroll down on this page to find the video! There's some other great WDW Christmas videos on this page as well!

While I created part of this based on that website, there are also some not from the list previously shared. This is not in any order and the "***" means it is a song where the lights dance.

-"Jingle Bells"-Barbra Streisand ***
-"Sleigh Ride"-Arthur Fiedler & Boston Pops Orchestra
-"Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree"-Brenda Lee
-"Feliz Navidad"-Jose Feliciano ***
-"Deck the Halls [Welsh Ayre]"-Mannheim Steamroller
-"All I Want For Christmas Is You"-Mariah Carey
-"A Mad Russians Christmas"-Trans-Siberian Orchestra ***
-"Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12-24"-Trans-Siberian Orchestra ***
-"Christmas Canon"-Trans-Siberian Orchestra
-"It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year"-Andy Williams
-"Parade of the Wooden Soliders"-Arthur Fiedler & Boston Pops Orchestra ***
-"A Holly Jolly Christmas"-Burl Ives
-"Little Saint Nick"-The Beach Boys
-"It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year"-Gonzo & Rizzo (Muppets)
-"Christmas Vacation"-Monique Coleman
-"Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree"-Miley Cyrus

Parktunues is junk. I'd stay away from that site, unless you don't really care about getting accurate information.

There is a playlist in progress at MagicMusic.net. The loop is broken out between the dancing light selections (which have all been identified) and the regular selections. So far, the first 30 of these are done. I'm not working on this project, but I believe full reference recordings were done last year, so, apart from finding time, perhaps the list can be finalized.

I care about accurate info. I'm a forum member at Magicmusic.net, so my first stop was searching through the playlists and blogs section there, but I couldn't find an Osborne playlist. The Disney Music Loops site couldn't be linked to their incomplete Osborne page directly, so, in an attempt to find something useful to help the OP, I used a search engine and came across the incomplete list on Parktunes! :)
