Ok, I might sound really dumb here, but looking at the lights in some of your photos they are pretty amazing and I just wondered what they story was behind them. Thanks x

Osborne Family Lights

the story behind them is that one day little miss osborne wanted a lights display around their house. Well, Mr (Jennings) Obsborne made that wish come true with 3 millions lights around his house (he even buy adjacent building to put more lights one). He also made them dancing and attracted a lot of people to Little Rock, Arkansas.
then the problems came, so many people were coming that traffic jams were everywhere around his house. There are stories that his neigbors can not even get pizza delivery because of the visiting guests and their cars. Also, another story about a fire truck needed to get to a fire, but could not because of the cars.
So Mister Obsborne was getting lawsuit/civil suit against him for the lights. So he need to get rid of them or move them. THEN *trumpets* Disney walks in [and by that i means buys] and say, "you can take it to Disney World at Disney's MGM/Hollywood Studios! So the lights will continue on." This pleasing Daughter Osborne, they brought the lights to Disney's MGM/Hollywood Studios [and adding 2 more million lights having 5 million lights].
*sign and take a breath*. There is another story about the purple cat. When the movers were taking the lights to Disney World, they accidently took a halloween light display with them [the purple cat]. Daughter Osborne noticed it right away and thought it was funny. So WDI every year hides the purple cat for our enjoyment and the enjoyment of daughter osborne who trys to find it every year

Funny story about that....The first year my family went to see the Osbourne lights my oldest 2 daughters (maybe 10 and 7 at the time) immediately tried catching the snow on their tongues. My being a good mother attempted to stop them...me being the sadistic pranking dad stopped her. The look on their faces when the got a mouthful of Disney snow was so worth it.:drevil:cant forget that they also have snow! well soap that they call snow!
Yep. We never leave until we find it. Some other funny things that were found in this years display The Flying Spaghetti Monster, The leg lamp from a Christmas Story and more hidden Mickey's than you can shake a stick at.
Seeing as its been so cold over there recently have you had any real snow?
WDW got a little sleet but I am about 160 miles north of WDW and most of the snow and sleet was about 30 miles south of us.
