Ornament Personalization Timing

Greetings everyone:

For the dozens of times I've been to WDW (and all the souvenirs I've returned with), I've never actually had an ornament personalized. The line at Days of Christmas always seems long. I'm going to be in Orlando for a conference next week, and I was hoping to pick up an ornament for some recently married friends. Does anyone have an estimate on how long it would take to get personalization? I'm sure it varies, but any guess is much appreciated. (I'll be there on a Tuesday evening around 6:00pm or 7:00pm.)

At quiet times it is a couple of hours. During the holidays and on an evening, it might be next day.

Although I can't directly answer your question, I can say that almost all the time when we go to Downtown Disney (or whatever the name is now), it's in the morning and very few people are there. By comparison, on the few times we've gone in the afternoon, it's been VERY busy. And on the rare times we've gone at night, it's been PACKED!!! Have you tried a morning trip?
