Greetings all from the geek labs
Checking in with another trip repot. It’s been awhile since my last report April to be exact. Anyways enough chit chat on with the news.
I took in Magic Kingdom Saturday since I have not really spent allot of time there recently. First thing to note our crowds. This past weekends crowds where good at Magic Kingdom with line waits not to bad for allot of the major attractions. My biggest wait time shock was at Mickey's Philharmagic. I haven’t seen a lower wait time since it opened...35 minutes for stand by
Some rehab news. Its A Small World is completely sealed up for rehab. You cannot see anything from the outside as to what is going on. 20,000 Leagues draining seems done in the most part the pool itself still has water standing in areas. The coral has now become very bleached from the sun.
Tomorrowland has several rehabs going. The stadium seating on the Indy Speedway is closed. Merchant to Venus and the Ice Cream shop next door to it are both closed. I could make out allot either drywall dust or concrete dust on the windows that had slipped past the rehab cloth covering the windows. The Giant globe leading into Tomorrowland has been removed (cleaning I am thinking) Timekeeper is closed. The Stitch wall still stands and YES you can hear Stitch making noise behind the rehab wall though it is hard to hear with all the noise in the middle of the day. I would imagine the early opening and closing times would be best to hear it. I did notice on the wall where some guests appear to be trying to peel off the newspaper clippings off the wall. Come on folks I am a fan too but sheesh.
Mickey's Toon Town train station is gone and no more. From the looks of it no major work has started yet but that will change.
Stayed for Wishes and I did pick up the new DVD that is for sale at Magic Kingdom. General Grizz had mentioned it in a report awhile back. It’s a nice little DVD to add to the collection. I must give a :sohappy: to Disney for releasing the DVD in WIDESCREEN and 5.1 surround.
This unfortunately will be my last trip report for a few weeks. I have some major things coming up here in the Geek Labs that will be keeping me away from my second home. I will still be posting any news I get and I’m not going away just need to work on something’s.
Until then take care and see you at the parks....
