Greetings all from the Geek Labs

Took in another weekend of the park hopping yesterday and have come back with some small updates.

First we will start at the Magic Kingdom

Mickey's Philharmagic was open all day that I could tell with FP working and return times and a nice line. Stopped by Fantasy Fare with a fellow geek lab employee who needed another Opening day pin for trading purposes.

The Main Street Gallery is OPEN

It opened this past Friday October 3rd 2003 and will be open from 12 till park close everyday.

Crowds where good with allot of folks. I saw a ton of character meet and greets going on which is always GREAT for the kids. I did make it over to Frontierland for lunch and Thunder Mountain rehab continues.

By the way the suprise jungle book pin is still out there We found ours yesterday.

RUMOR I heard a rumor floating around regarding testing of Wishes and Peter Pan's Flight. Now from what I was told regarding a possible smoke problem or fire on the roof I cannot confirm this nor am I taking it solid as a truthful event. But the bases of it was a test of Wishes happened this week (which has been going on during different times) and there was a small fire atop the roof of Pan's flight and that water used in the extingushing of the fire got into the ride.

Personally I am not buying it

Next we headed over to Epcot

All I can say is MEDIA EVENT MEDIA EVENT MEDIA EVENT Epcot is just buzzing with everything for this event. I took plenty of pictures of all the setup and will be emailing them to Steve tonight. The Soarin' crane is still in clear view and yes I did take a picture of it from a good angle.

Last stop was to MGM

The backlot work is going well with block construction already higher than the rehab wall. The NY Street rehab also is moving along nicely with the facade's getting some nice color hue's. SpeederBike is still gone from the front of Star Tours.

Thats it for now. See you all at the parks

OOsome update buddy. I also noticed the Stunt Show thing. It had a big grey wall right?...I wasnt sure what it was tho, so I didnt put the picture up. The PP thing...Its possible, but, I dont think that much water would be needed, and that it would get through the roof. It doesnt when it rains. But, yea, there are Whishes firing locations on the Phil roof, as well as Peter Pan, and those are the only two I saw that are completely visable. What concerns me..they had to close Philharmagic when they were just doing construction on the Firing Pipe, so, I can imagine it will be closed during Wishes, as well as every other thing that has a firing location on its roof

The big wall you can see at the front of the construction area is part of the new restroom complex. :)

The major construction for the show is happening behind that area.

Yeah, the restrooms will prolly stop a lot of photos from being taken for right now.

As for the fire. Yes, it actually did happen. The fall out even landed in AdventureLand, when destroyed a few of the tables over in the area. But back to Peter Pan, nothing was damaged other than the area on the roof that was hit with the fall out.
