Orlando Plans Sept. 11 Commemoration

(Orlando Business Journal) -- In commemoration of Sept. 11, 2001, the city of Orlando will host "Orlando Re-members" Sept. 11, 2002, at 6:30 p.m. at Lake Eola Park. The gathering will include a silent procession around Lake Eola with Orlando Mayor Glenda Hood, Orlando Fire Chief Charlie Walker, Orlando Fire Depart-ment personnel, Orlando Police Chief Jerry Demings, Orlando Police Department personnel, Orange County Chairman Richard Crotty, Orange County Sheriff Kevin Beary, Orange County Fire Chief Carl Laugher, and local police and firefighters. Following the procession, candles will be distributed and the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra will perform Mozart's Requiem.
