Ordering stuff without a side at Counter Service

I was curious, does anyone know how much you save by not ordering fries or apple slices with certain things like a hamburger or hot dog? Can you do this at every place, and if not how can I found out if the place does it? I was thinking of doing it at Maybe the Launching Pad or Casey's but I really do not not eat fries with lunch if I can avoid it.

I have ordered just a sandwich and had fries show up. I think you have to be very clear about the NO FRIES thing. it wasn't a big whup...it's just easier to not eat them when they aren't sitting there begging to be eaten. :)

I don't know if you can save money skipping the fries/grapes, but I doubt it. I won't even get started on how much they charge for grapes at WDW. It is a bone I'd like to pick with them one day.

See on various website I have read this over and over again
"Order a la carte. Menus typically list “combo” prices. If you don’t want fries (or a side), order just the entree to save."

Maybe you can. I'll ask next time I'm in a park...which will be tomorrow IF I'm having a good day. Never know what kind of day it will be, though! :)

I've always requested that they remove the bag of potato chips from any QS meal I order. They subtract $1.50 from the bill. Last time I ordered the specialty hot dogs in DHS I had to argue with the CM for a while, because she couldn't find any button on screen to do it. A Manager/Supervisor came over and showed her how to do it.

Good thing there was nobody behind me in line...

OK, I asked. Just for you. :)

YES, you can save by getting your sandwich, burger, hot dog (whatever) without the fries/grapes. I asked how much I'd save and she said, "about two dollars." I wanted the grapes, though, and ponied up the $2 for the tiny bag. One was all smooshy and icky, so I considered asking for a dime back. ;)

That would be fifteen cents, I know they can't fit more than 10 - 15 in those little tiny bags, you cracked me up, thanks!
