Opinions on the Rescuers?

Yes you should watch it once and form your own opinion! I thought it was cute!

Definitely watch it. The animation is a bit lackluster in some places (part of the style) but its classic Disney storytelling.

Both Rescuers movies (Rescuers and Rescuers Down Under) are pretty good. Not the best things the Disney animators ever created, but still certainly worth a watch.

Interesting note about Rescuers Down Under. It was the first Disney movie to use the CAPS system for ink and paint, as well as one of Disney's first experiments in using CGI in an animated cartoon movie. The CAPS system development was the first collaboration with a young company called Pixar.

Absolute classic and by far one of my favorite Disney movies ever. It's a tear-jerker, though. Be prepared to be sad. It's a great movie.

It is VERY good. A great story, wonderfully sympathetic heroine, and the combination of Eva Gabor and Bob Newhart as the mouse couple is absolutely irresistible. Watch it!

Some great character animation from Frank and Ollie. Very sweet story and as noted above- a tearjerker (especially Penny). MUST SEE. The best of the post-Walt, pre-renaissance stuff IMHO.

A lot of people find it boring because they find it to be a very slow paced movie. And don't get me wrong, it is, but that doesn't mean it's bad. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is a very slow movie yet it is regarded as one of the best animated films ever made, which is a title that it deserves. I just think people that find movies bad because they're "slow" just have really short attention spans.
