opening ceremony

kind of selfish question but was anyone at the magic kingdom opening ceremony on the 2nd november and did you tape it. If you did could i have a copy as we were the lucky family that was chosen to open the park that day. If anyone could help it would be great. Thanks.

How did u and your family get picked???

it was all a bit surreal. We had an ADR booked at CRT for 8:15 it was about 7:30 and i had just had my bag checked when a cast member came up to me and asked "would you and your family like to open the magic kingdom today." My wife and I just looked at each other in disbelief and of course we said yes. We were taken into the magic kingdom where another cast member took some pictures of us in a deserted magic kingdom using my camera. We were then taken up into the train station and introduced to more cast members and more photos and then everything that was about to happen was explained to us. Then the time came the mayor and dancers crossed the tracks and started their routine and in the distance came that familiar whistle of the train, as the train pulled in and the characters filed off we were then given our signal to go through the train and were introduced to the crowd. After all the smiling and waving we were escorted back inside for more photos this time by a photopass photographer and given 4 fast passes for the magic kingdom. Another ultra nice cast member took us outside to where the fire engine was waiting for us to take us down main street to the castle for more photo ops and given another 4 fast passes. The whole experience was unreal. Don't get me wrong we have all the photopass pictures from that morning where there was a photographer in the crowd taking pics. I was just curious to see if anyone out there in our magical universe was there too and had taped it.

If no one here has it I would recommend searching Youtube for 'Magic Kingdom Opening Ceremony' or whatever then click 'filter' and then click 'uploaded this week' or 'this month' and just scan through the videos. Do this for a couple times a week for a few months and I would imagine you will find it eventually.
