Only able to fastpass on the hour?

We were able to make our fastpass+ selections yesterday for March trip however we were only able to make them on the hour i.e. 9-10, 10-11. We were hoping to select 930-1030 or 1145-1245. Then occasionally it would offer a slot on the half hour, but rarely. Are other people having this is or is there a way around it?

Also noticed it does not allow you to make a selection if you have a dinner reservation within the hour i.e. Res for 1145 can't make a 11-12 fastpass. We would have liked a Fastpass for 1045-1145 but only offered 10-11

Mine have been all over the place. Some are 3:25-4:25, 1:50-2:50 and some on the hour and half hour. Doesn't seem to depend on the park. My early morning ones seem to be on the hour though.

After you made your initial selections, did you go back in and try to modify? Sometimes the initial offering is more limited; the modify screen will present more options.

They gave 4 options which I took one of them, then modified it to closer to what I wanted but I couldn't say 915-1015, I had to take 9-10 or 10-11. I will keep trying each day and see if it changes

Same issue. Aside from the concept, the website is obscene in how un-user friendly it is. Sometimes it will give me off hour times when I do the quick-picks, but if I try to change the times, I can only do so on the hour. Can't overlap with dining or within 2 hours after dining. It seems they are purposefully trying to stretch out your day. But it shouldn't come as any surprise that FP+ was never really about enhancing the guest experience...

The mobile app works much better than the site.....

To say the website works would be a joke. I could not make a single FP+ selection without Donald doing some scheduled maintenance right as I finalized the selections. I'm not a web-designer, but I can't fathom how it could be that difficult to design such a horrible site and yet still not be able to make it work, but perhaps those two are related...

Either way, the ability to select FP+ times is horrible. I have a 10-month old and a two-year old (all of which Disney knows) -- I can guarantee you we will not be in a restaurant for two hours, so why can't I book FP+ times that make sense?

I've not had this issue. It would allow me to make the selections it just showed "overlaps with dining reservation" but I'm positive I could go ahead. My ADRs have changed since my initial FP+ selections but I had a 7:30 PP FP+ with an ADR of 6:30. Definite overlap going on there.

Edit: I also dislike Donald Duck even more now since he pops up so much in this FP+ process.

Interesting. I was not given the option. Those times simply don't show up as options.

My initial selections came up all over the map, various different times all at 5-minute intervals for start times, oddly everything but :00! I think it's truly random what they present as options until they start to run out of spaces, then you'll get offered whatever's left.

Not knowing the details of the system, but I wouldn't be surprised if they simply started with the 00, and then incremented as it sold out. Much like a normal FP had so many allocated for 10, then 10:05, then 10:10, I can see them doing the same for the FP+ system. After the 100 people or whatever take the 9, then they start offering the 9:05, then 9:10, (or whatever their incrementals are). Otherwise imagine if the system actually offered you 9-10,9:05-10:05,9:10-10:10,9:15-10:15, etc etc all the way up til 8-9? The selection page would scroll on for pages. This way you can still get the general time you want, and the system doesn't get overloaded with people selecting the 11:45 ToT (right before lunch). I definitely noticed getting the times later in the hour when I tried to rebook rides while I was there, and this week when I tried to book 4 weeks out for a Feb vacation time period.

I have also been able to overlap ADR's with FP. It just notifies you. I've also booked ADR''s an hour apart with no notification, which wasn't great and by mistake! I guess with the no show credit card fee, they don't mind anymore

I've had it let me book a second ADR within an hour or so but then I've also had the system say no. Not sure why it worked once but not another time. I think the system has some glitches. I'm showing 5 FP+ times for one day, after trying to change a couple, but they seem to be "phantom" times since they aren't there when I try to change them. It's crazy but I honestly like planning the times for FP+ because I know I don't have to run to a machine and I'll definitely get to ride what I want.
